Need a little help with planning. I need to make an ADR for 50's Prime Time for the day we're at MGM. We want to have dinner there and need to coordinate it around the Osborne lights and Fantasmic. If I'm getting the correct info, I think Fantasmic is two shows that day at 7 and 8:30. I'd prefer to do the second show and hit the lights before (and maybe after too!). So when should I get my ADR at 50's for? I'll need time to join the Clean Plate Club of course. 5:30-ish or will I be cutting it too close? Thanks for the help!

You might be cutting it close with 5:30. We had ADRs on 10/30 for 5 pm with a 10 minute wait time (not too bad for us though). We didn't get out in time to see Fantasmic, of course our DS4 also fell asleep at dinner. But don't forget, MGM closes at 7 pm unless you are going on a day that has evening EMH.

If you are planning on going to the 8:30 Fantasimc, I think 5:30 would be good for and ADR. Plan on and hour to an hour and a half for dinner and an hour is plenty of time for Osborne Lights. You should make Fantasmic with no problems. If dinner takes longer, go see Osborne after Fantasmic.

I was going to do the exact same thing. This is what I would do. First, go to dinner at the earliest dinner seating (around 4pm). This may be an early dinner, but you get so full, you won't be hungry for the rest of the day and you'll need time later to do the other stuff. If you get a 4pm ADR, then go to the osborne lights at 6pm. It takes about 15 min to see them. After this, you'll have plenty of time to get to Fantasmic. Take note: you'll have to line up at least an hour early for good seats or 30 min. for ok seats. Also, if your going on a night of EMH, even the 2nd show may be crowded, so line up early.

Have you thought about doing the dinner/fantasmic package?
That way you don't have to wait in line and waste valuable time.
We did it last time and loved it and will be doing it again this time.
Not all restaurants offer this, I think just hte Brown derby and mama melroses.
