Attack of the Lakeshore Lodge

I believe that so far only Riviera, Cabins at Fort Wilderness and Villas Disneyland Hotel are trusts. The expectation is for Lakeshore Lodge to be a Trust as well.

The only resort in the trust and being sold RTU are the cabins.

They are the first one. Many of us believe that DVD will shift to that model for all future resorts.

But, until they file documents it’s just discussions amongst some of us here!

Ok maybe I missed it. But what is a DVC Trust? Any other resorts a trust? Kinda confused

Short version. DVD decided to create the Palmetto Trust and sell CFW as a Right To Use plan instead of a leasehold condo association like all other resorts before that.

Right now, CFW is the only one and so it functions no different then the others. But, the potential is there for changes with future DVC resorts if they use this model.

LSL is the next project so we wait to see what they do.

I don't think we know...

What is fascinating is this could be the first Cash Deluxe Hotel constructed in over 25 years when it opens.... I hope they have something extra special in mind for that.... Especially given the location...

I would have not predicted the first Disney Deluxe Hotel in 25 years would be on a plot of land so far away from the parks.

I guess star cruiser may have been a deluxe? I'm not sure... Either way, this thing isn't disappearing in a year or two...
