Atlantis/dolphins/gratuities questions

We will be taking our first cruise in March...and know of no one who has cruised. My DH desperately wants to see Atlantis...do we have to rent a room or two (4 children)? What will we get for that? Advantages?

Also, two DD's want to swim with the dolphins. Anyone done that? Will we all have to pay to do that too?

What about tips? How does that work?

I'm basically new to this too, so I dont know a whole lot about Atlantis.
However, my dd-11 is wanting to do the dolphin excursion also....They have a dolphin swim where you can actually get into the water with the dolphins and then there is the dolphin encounter where you stand in 3' deep water to pet them....Check out this website... www.dolphinswims.com . There is a charge to do either, though I have been told, it is worth every cent. I've also been told they do a video of you and yours for a price too.. I am only repeating what I have been told or read about. Have fun!
