Should my family and I go to the Atlantis? I will be travelling with my husband and five year old son. We all love the water and I am very curious about seeing the Atlantis since I have seen it advertised so many times. However, booking a room at the Atlantis to use the whole property was very expensive and while the Comfort Suites was about $100.00 less than the Atlantis it still was somewhat expensive. Also, will I have time to go to the Atlantis and to the Dolphin Encounter. Thanks.

To do the beach thing at Atlantis I believe it's $150 through Disney but it does not allow you to use their pools. You can however go to the Dig and such and it does include breakfast. I got this email today from Comfort Suites:

Thank you for your e-mail, please note we do not have a Day room rate, I
can
however offer you a discounted rate of $195.00 plus taxes (single/double)
occuoancy. We will need to know how many persons will be in the room.

Our rates for the period will start @ $230.00 plus taxes.

Please advice if you wish to make reservations.

Kind regards,

Denise Sweeting

I have a feeling that it's more than $195 if we have more than one person. That rate though includes the pool but does not include food.

Personally....I have two daughters ages 7 and 8 and I don't think they could hack all of the walking involved at Atlantis. I guess if your son could use a stroller it wouldn't be bad at all.

Good luck!
