I'm confused about how this would work. Usually hotels have a check in time of 2 or 3 o'clock. Must you wait until that time to get into your room to use the facilities and then, how to check out a day early? I'm assuming you're just using the room for the day.

My understanding is you can get your waterpark bracelets prior to your room being ready (in fact you never have to go to the room). The reservationist I spoke with seemed to know exactly how we were using the room (as if people do it this way all the time). They did, however, put a crib in our room in case our son wants to nap.

That's correct, you'll get bracelets right away regardless of whether or not your room is ready.

Just checked and we are cruising 12/23 Wonder and will port in Nassua on 12/24, but when I put in a check in date 12/24 it does not give me the discounted price. When I put check in of 12/23 it gives me the discounted price. Do you now if I call tomorrow if I would get the discounted rate?

Thank you in advance for the help. I would love to do the whole Atlantis thing and save money.

There is (usually) no problem checking in early, if a room is ready that matches your reservation they will give it to you.
We recently got back and there were 3 disney cruisers ahead of me checking in at 10:30am.

Its been posted a few times that if a room isn't ready, you still get the wristbands for the waterpark.

I had no problem checking out that same afternoon.

1 thing I'd check is if there are any additional fees associated with that rate. It has been posted here that they sometimes try to add a housekeeping fee among other fees.
But I'd grab the deal!

Hi Simba2002! I just went to travelzoo and was able to bring up the discount rate for one room for 2 adults, 2 kids. It came up as checking in on 23rd and out on 24th, so you may want to try again. Only 60 more days! Can't wait! Woo-hoo!!!!!!!

We're there on a Friday too and our rate came up as $169, instead of $129. But, still a great deal. I reserved the room for Friday to Saturday so we'd have the use of the room for the whole day. If Thursday to Friday is reserved, you'd have to check out by 11 or noon - whatever the policy is.

Maybe I'm not doing this right. But, if you are only arriving in Nassau on the 24th and you reserved the room for the night of the 23rd, you'll have to "check out" on the 24th by 11 or noon - whatever their checkout time is. Plus, if you don't show up on the 23rd, the day of your reservation, will you get charged and then show up on the 24th as not in the system? I'd doublecheck all of these things if I were you...But then again, I'm a paranoid planner!

THe original poster here - FYI, there were additional fees and taxes with the rate (as is typical with most hotels I go to) - so the total was $164 which was still quite a deal I thought.

God Bless you!!! I just booked it!!!!!! I can not believe it. I booked just the Discover Atlantis with DCL, because I would not spend the $450 for the 3 of us. Now we will be able to do it all for $150. I got an early Christmas Gift!

ANother question, Now all we have to do is get our own Taxi, agree on a price with the driver (IS this hard?) and they will take us to Atlantis??

Does the $164 include the housekeeping, resort fees, taxes etc that they list as "extra" on the site. Just want to make sure I don't get dinged with another $50 when I'm there.

I just printed out my "Travel Plan" at the Atlantis website and I show the $169 but no total of fees. Maybe because I'm booked more than 31 days out and still have an option to cancel (I didn't have to pay at the time of booking).

The terms and conditions show there are Additional Charges of 12% resort tax and $10 per person per day housekeeping and utility surcharge.

Do you think the kids are subject to the $10?

Misty, do you see any breakdown of your fees that you could clear that up for me?
