Atlantic City Casino Hotel

Our favorites are Caesars, Showboat, and Tropicana. The location in the summer is why. I love the shops and the boardwalk. I dont necessarily think they are great for kids. Don't think any are. There are better choices in NJ for families. Just my opinion and we go often.

If you HAVE to bring the kids though the above would be OK. It just really is not a family destination.

What are your plans? I can be of more help maybe! :)

The only place we stay when we go down to Atlantic City is the Borgata. Great rooms, service atmosphere. And we have found it attracts a better crowd than the boardwalk hotels. JMHO.

AC might be a little boring for the kids. Ocean City is our favorite day trip when we are down in AC. OC is great for families!! :)

We stayed at Harrah's last year without kids, but I noticed there was a HUGE game room and family pool on the 4th floor. I don't think anyone under 21 is allowed in the main pool area, so it was nice they had an alternative for families. I never went inside to check out the game room, but it sounded nice. However, Harrah's isn't on the boardwalk and it is fun to walk up and down the boardwalk, especially in the evening.

We took advantage of a free room in Showboat last week. We went to Ocean City and visited Lucy the Elephant (cool!) with the kids. The room at Showboat was great-being free and all but AC is just not great for kids. The AC boardwalk? Sorry, I shkeeve. We took a walk and quickly turned around.
The only other casino we have stayed in is the Tropicana which has great restaurants and a mall to walk around in. There seemed to be more to do there.

we were in AC with kids for a cheer competition this past spring. I can only say where not to stay. Trump did not allow people under 18 into the pool area and there wasn't any alternative.

also, on the boardwalk the group of kids I had with me had the pleasure of witnessing: A prostitute, a transvestite prostitute that wanted to talk to them about how they scored at the competition, drug paraphernalia openly sold in the windows and head shops of tourist stores, and about 3 absolutely drunk and disorderly people walking around the boardwalk. One who tried to leap off of the pedicab she was in.

I would say the Tropicana. Nice little mall to stroll around in, IMAX movie theatre, right on the beach and boardwalk. Fun glass elevators that my son loooooooves lol. Having said that, Atlantic City isn't really that great for kids in general. They don't even let you gamble with them in tow....go figure ;)

We wound up staying at hARRAHS. we had styed there last year, but it poured so we couldn't enjoy the kid deck. This time we played mini golf and they loved the baloon game. All in all it didn't cost a fortune and they said it is their favorite hotel aside from A water park hotel we stayed at.
OVER the Disney BOARDWALK AND OTHER HOTELS. I am suprised that somebody does not make a more kid friendly hotel in AC. There you go Disney Help NJ out.
We stayed at FSK in Oceanside and they also really enjoyed it. I was suprised that both enjoyed Harrah's more than FSK. We tried to book on the way home but I am not big enough loser to get a rate on a sunday night. I am loser just seldom and not the $'s they like. Gov Christie was on news today saying AC should go kid friendly, of course only because the Casinos aren't the only destination anymore.
