We flew out of AC Airport to Orlando for the first time last month. We usually fly out of Newark Airport. I must recommend AC Airport for all of you NJ people or for anyone traveling to NJ. It's very small, only two ticket counters and one baggage area. Much cleaner and less confusing. It cost us $48 to park our car there for two weeks whereas Newark Airport would have cost about $12 a day. Of course these airports are 3 hours apart (AC is 2 1/2 hours from where we live) but I will never go to crazy confusing Newark Airport again unless I can't get the flight out of AC!

We only live about 15 minutes from the AC airport & love it too! I'm glad it worked well for you!

We live apprx 40 min from Atlantic City Airport! I'm hoping the prices of the flights go down so I can afford to fly out of there this October when we goto Orlando! Right now it's astronomical and I refuse to pay close to $700 roundtrip for 5 people! I was told by some that the proce is because there are not many seats left! When I talked to spirit customer service she told me it was because for some reason they are not opening many seats yet for those flight dates but when they open more the proce will go down! I hope she's right it will be the first time I

We always use Atlantic City Airport when we fly! It is great! As we are only apprx 40 minutes from it! But I'm really disappointed this time there airfares prices are astronomical! It is apprx $700 per person roundtrip and we have 5 ! That is no way in the budget! I may for the first time be forced to fly out of Phila which is 1 1/2 hrs away! Do to Spirit and Delta being the only carriers! Hopefully this will change! I have been looking since March and Missed $88 each way by like a week!!!!!!!!!!! And have watched it increase tremendously since! I spoke to someone who told me as the flight fills the price increases! But I called spirit air customer service and the representative told me it's because for some reason they are not yet releasing a lot of seats for these dates to keep checking! Once they do the price will decrease! So it's as if the plane is booked but it's not it is because the number of released seats is minimal right now! Hopefully she's right! :confused3

I completely know what you mean. We were supposed to be going to WDW the week of Dec 11th, but the rates went from the "normal" $200 a person to $500 a person! So we had to switch our plans & move our trip up a week. We booked the flight right then & there b/c we were afraid that week would go up too. I've never in my life seen a price for Spirit like that!

Have you both signed up for email offers? They seem to send me an offer every week with one way to Orlando being under $100 sometimes

Keep trying, follow their advice and it may just work out. I booked my May airfare back in December, $194.40 per person round trip including all taxes and fees. With 6 of us in our party, I was relieved by that fare!

Yeah, I get their syber special emails, but they seem to be for flights within that month, and I'm not willing to wait til November to book my flights!

And you're right, they do send out those emails every week! Makes me want to take little vacations to other places!

Same here! I get there Syber Specials but they all expire before I even fly out so far No Luck!

Try to change the days of the week you fly. For some reason Spirit significantly lowers prices on certain days. Also, if you are willing to fly to MCO on the late flight the night before you "start" your vacation you can find some deals. You pay more to fly out of AC - but I love the convienence and the parking is cheaper. By the time I get to Philly and park etc. I need to get up way before the 4 am time I need for AC. Extra sleep = priceless!

Love AC airport! I agree about trying to lower tkt cost by changing day or flight if you can. We saved on our latest Spirit tkts by doing just that.

Well! I got tired of Playing around with Spirit and I changed my dates etc... and nothing changed ! So I went with USA3000 out of Phila and changed a few days and got $59.00 each way! Which is great since we have 5 people going! Now that I booked I'm sure Spirit will lower their rates! Or Southwest's will come out! Oh Well! I'm sealed in now and at a great rate! Thanks for the advice!
