Hmmm, I just checked and we are down to about a 1/2 gallon of milk. The horrors! I must hit Publix tomorrow morning~ Salt, milk, wine and cereal. And maybe some chocolate candy
Hmmm...I think this might be my list, too!

That reminds me. I need to get salt for the driveway. Every time it freezes the SLIGHTEST bit, my driveway turns into a solid sheet of ice.
Holy cow, that's reassuring.
Try kitty litter....it seems to work better than salt.
They're predicting 6-10" in Birmingham, and y'all, that will shut us DOWN.
DH is at the store for milk right now!
Actually, we normally keep enough stuff in the house that we don't have to participate in the "bread and milk frenzy" but this week has been crazy and I haven't been to the store at all. We're down to our last gallon of milk. (we normally keep 3-4 in the fridge, as we go through about a gallon a day. Usually I go for more when we are "down" to two. I didn't have time yesterday).
I told DH to get FIVE - lol. He said he's hoping they have some left.
What's really sad is that I was supposed to be off work Monday, but I took pity on a co-worker who is a huge Auburn fan, and I'm working for him Monday night. If there's 8-10 inches of snow and ice on Monday, I'm not going to be happy. (don't worry - I won't be mad at my co-worker. It's not his fault. Plus he traded me for Sunday, so I think he's got the worst end of the deal).
Here's hoping they're wrong!![]()

I get home and the kids have almost drank the entire gallon so now I have to go tomorrow and get one.![]()

Well, it looks like *I* will be going to WalMart when I get off work. (it's the only thing that will still be open that late).
DH just called; he and DD14 got rear-ended in the traffic.
They are both okay, thank goodness. He said the traffic was terrible and that he was actually totally stopped and the person behind him hit them, going only about 10mph. The airbags didn't deploy or anything. He said the car will need work though, but it's still drivable. He said they did get pushed forward, but didn't hit the people in front of them.
DD is shaken up. She has been all gung ho about getting her permit this year. We've been telling her that driving is serious and you have to watch the people around you. I guess she'll believe us now (not that DH could have done anything to avoid this happening, but some things can be avoided if you're alert to the drivers around you).

); stove; fridge; microwave; freezer with lots of food out in one of the garages (lots of bread - LOL) - so really no worries here..

Forget about bread and milk...make sure you have beer, gin, tonic, limes, and chips and dip.
The important thing is we have catfood, with 6 cats in the house, 4 of our own and 2 fosters, can't afford a mutiny
Thank goodness they are ok. how scary!!!!! Fridays and a snow "event' coming bring out twice amount of dumb drivers.

Even if we have a "major" storm this year, we're feeling pretty confident since my Dson-in-law purchased that large generator just towards the end of last winter.. We'll have heat; lights; t.v.; coffemakers (his and mine); stove; fridge; microwave; freezer with lots of food out in one of the garages (lots of bread - LOL) - so really no worries here..

Yowsa. We haven't had that much snow since th blizzard of 1993. If we get even 4 inches, we will be socked in here. There is little road clearing equipment here and lots, LOTS of hills. Both our cars have 4-wheel drive, but I'm pretty sure we won't be going much of anywhere. My BIL, nephew, and 2 of his workers are leaving tomorrow morning for Atlanta with 2 snow plow trucks and shovels and show blowers. My bil mother lives in Atlanta. My BIL is also taking his new toy, it is like a blower, duster, sweaper to clean sidewalks. They are not goughing prices either, they are keeping their same rates as they do in Wisconsin.
We haven't had much snow in the last couple of weeks, and nothing predicted for awhile, so they all decided today to go.
OMG, did I just hear that right? Did 11Alive just say we could get 10-12 INCHES?Yowsa. We haven't had that much snow since th blizzard of 1993. If we get even 4 inches, we will be socked in here. First it was 4", then 6, then 10" and now they're saying we'll get freezing rain all day Monday on top of the snow. Joy.
