I had the Chicken-Bacon Ranch..only 8 grams carbs according to them....
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was $4.39, not huge but good for the money....
You can also get any sub they make as a low carb wrap for .50 extra but they don't reccomend doing that for induction...

Thanks for the review, Alex! I wanted to walk over lunch-hour - now I have a destination!!

Edit: DH said I should wait until dinner tonight - he wants to try one also. I hope they're good. It would be great to have another option when the kids want pizza!!

Sounds delicious!! I'll have to remember this for the next time I go.

Thanks!

This is great news!

Now Subway has good options for Weight Watchers and Atkins, um, doers. (Atkinsites? Atkinsers? Atkinsians? Atkinsheads? Atkinslonians? WHAT???)

:teeth:

Kathy, can I just be a low-carber?? I don't wanna be an Atkins-head..... :rotfl: :rotfl:

Doreen, the Atkins-head....errr, low-carber, checking in! :p

I had the turkey bacon wrap last night - 11 net carbs. It was DELISH! Subway makes this with the Southwest sauce, which I love, turkey, bacon and shredded cheese on a low-carb tortilla wrap. They recommended onions, green peppers and black olives - I skipped the olives and had lettuce, onions & green peppers on mine.

This did NOT taste like diet or fake food to me. It was wonderful and I'll be going back often!

I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap for supper last night. It was yummy!!

I will be going back!

DH and I had the chicken/bacon/ranch Atkins friendly wrap for lunch. [note that DH is NON-Atkins]. We BOTH loved them!

Way to Go SUBWAY!

I had the chicken bacon ranch last night and it was soooooooo good!!!! I plan on having that for supper again tonight :) Good thing there's a subway right across from my work!!!
Julie

Thanks for the review, Alex! I can't wait to try one and since I live right next door to a Subway, guess what we are having for supper tonight? ;)

This sounds great! And it's okay for induction? I heard 8 g of carbs and then I saw 11 net carbs? Which is it? LOL :)

Christiana

The chicken bacon ranch wrap is 8 net carbs and the turkey bacon melt wrap is 11 net carbs.

I was looking at the fine print today. On the signs it says "not suitable for induction"

It's been a LONG time since I've done Atkins induction. Can anyone see what would NOT be allowed on induction?

Inc.-endorsed low-carbohydrate wraps: the Turkey and Bacon Melt Wrap, with Monterey cheddar cheese, and the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, with Swiss cheese. Both Atkins® -Friendly Wraps, available in the U.S. and Canada, have 11 grams Net Carbs or less, and the wrap itself, which is made with wheat gluten, cornstarch, oat, sesame flour and soy protein, has only 5 grams Net Carbs.
(got that from subway.com)

I'm reading this to say it's 16 carbs...11 for the meat/veggies/dressing and then 5 for the wrap itself??

I believe the reason that it's not okay for inductin is the wrap itself...the flour, corn starch, oats, etc.... those are not okay for induction, so you could technically get the wrap and eat the insides.

Brandy

The signs make it sound like it is 11 TOTAL carbs...5 for the wrap and 6 for the contents...

I'm just a low carber (no induction for me!) like Doe so I will be enjoying one of these real soon. I've been craving subway lately and can't wait to try one. Maybe for lunch tomorrow.

Doe: On induction, you are allowed meat, cheese, eggs, and 3 cups of salad veggies per day. You can also have salad dressing, butter, heavy cream, and mayo.

So, if you go to Subway - you'll have to skip the wrap for now, but they will make any of their sandwiches as a salad for you! :)
