Atkins Cost ??

Hi can anyone tell me if Atkins cost money and where do you get the information ? Thanks Michelle

you can find all sorts of info on www.atkins.com. or check out the book "atkins for life"...

it's not like a WW or jenny craig program where you have to pay to join...you buy your own groceries and monitor yourself.

Atkins does not cost anything. If you are a sams club member, you can get the three book set for around $27...it has all the steps, sample menus and recipes and the carb counter. Very helpful.

You eat regular food. You can keep track of your progress at atkins.com in the my journal section...and use these boards for support also. Many of us here are on atkins and loving it!

You really just need one book for now... Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution. This is the main book that describes all four phases of the eating plan AND why it works. It costs about $5 at Walmart and is on the "bestseller" rack - where it has been for a LONG time!

Atkins for Life is for maintenance and you really should wait to purchase that until you are closer to that ... and hopefully by waiting you will get it in paperback rather than it's current only available form of hardback (this is a new book).

In my opinion - you really must read the book - and not just the website - to be successful. There is a great deal of info in the book that is not on the website. Information that explains WHY this works and important to understand - so you can make good choices as your implement your new way of eating.
