At what age did your kids start getting into Disney movies/characters/toys?

My twins are 21 months and love Mickey's clubhouse, Their third word was disney. We planned a trip when they were 18 months and loved it the loved the characters, but didn't care for princess we had not showed them the movies. Best thing we did was get really excited when a disney show came on and they followed our lead. Our twins are obbessed with seasme street so we are going to busch gardens and having breakfast with elmo yay!

Oh very cool, I did not realize they had Elmo at Busch Gardens (never been there). I think my kids would go bananas !

We did not have cable/Fios/satellite when my DS was born, just network TV. So all we really had available was Thomas the Tank Engine and Barney or whatever we put in the VCR. (can you tell this was a few years ago :lmao:) He did not like Barney so that really left Thomas and my collection of Disney movies. He rotated among his favorites, Winnie the Pooh, Dalmatians, Peter Pan and Jungle Book. He was a lover by age 2. By the time he was 3 we did have cable and that opened a whole new world with Nick Jr (Blues Clues, Franklin, Little Bear etc). DD was born into the good fortune of everything available to her, but I would put on a Disney movie a couple of times a week, instead of TV. Her favorite rotation was Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp, PeterPan and Bambi. Of course Winnie the Pooh was a regular feature as well (my favorite :)). By the time DD was 3yrs old Aristocrats and Little Mermaid ranked up there as well. She also loved the sequel to PeterPan. She was 4yrs old before she appreciated Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty. Then she was all about the princesses. princess:

That is a great idea to just put on a Disney movie a few times a week. I'm gonna do that. I'll actually get to watch something I enjoy instead of the normal daily Seasame marathon :woohoo: And I'm sure at some point they will realize it's awesome! :rotfl: Thanks!

Beware that your kids might turn into Disney FREAKS! My girls started at really like Disney at the age of 2-2.5 and have never stopped since. I think it has to do with the fact that movies are soo long and they didn't want to sit for a long time when they were a bit younger. They love everything about Disney and see hidden Mickey EVERYWHERE.

We brought them to Disney for their 1st b-day and they loved it. I think it was the colors and music. I would bring such young kids at that age in a heart beat. I brought them back last fall at the age of 4 and it was even more magical. They knew all the caracters and would wait just to give them a huge hug. It was priceless. All they do is talk about it. We are going back this May, although they have no idea, just because DH didn't get to see them last fall and I feel he missed out.

I turned my DDs into Disney monters and I LOVE it!

Aw that is precious! And triplets omgoodness! I bet they are so adorable! That sounds awesome! Hope you have a wonderful magical trip!

My DD & DS started with all nickelodeon and barney and barbie. then when "Up" came, that's the start of my DS's, age 4 that time, fascination on everything disney. he switched from Up to Toy Story (only watching his favorite scenes most of the time, before his school service drives him to school), to Finding Nemo. Now he's new favorite is Wall-E. Sometimes he watches Tinkerbell. He still watches Handy Manny, Agent Oso, and Disney Clubhouse. He likes Mickey Mouse.

My DD8 is all barbie and Dora, Blues Clues and Barney before. Then she saw "High School Musicale" and fell in love with it, probably with Zach Efron (she loves Hairspray too) and Ashley Tisdale. She loves to sing Little Mermaid songs and Beauty and the Beast.

Oh well, they have their preferences!

It's not only them who adore Disney! "Part of your World" is always in my playlist, plus Beauty and the Beast songs. :surfweb:
