At WDW Now - Used GAD Fastpass for Epcot & DHS

I'm taking my niece (11) and nephew (9) to WDW this summer.

We are signed up for the GAD program. If I have to show the kids birth certificates when we redeem the voucher, will it be an issue that the parent or guardian is not with us?

TIA!!!

I am so glad I stopped by here, I did not notice I needed to use the GAD voucher by 11 and we have a 10am breakfast outside the park one morning. Guess we will need to shoot over to MK first then go to breakfast. Thanks for saving the day knowledgeable people!

Another question.

Are there time limits for the GAD FP like the regular ones? Do you have to wait for the window to open to get another?? Like the regular FP, can you use them after the time stamped on the card?

Here's my idea. I don't ride TofT at DHS. So, while the family is riding first thing, I take the GAD FP cards around and gather FP for RnRC, TSM, Voyage of the little Mermaid etc... for later in the day.

Boy, I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for any help.

I don't think you HAVE to USE the fastpass by 11... what they are saying is that Disney has the right to limit the fastpasses they distribute on any given day... so it is recommend you get them as early as possible so as not to miss out..they did this with the birthday celebration fastpasses as well..but as others have said I never heard anyone not being able to get one....

Basically Disney is promising that if you get there by 11:00am you will be guaranteed to get the Fastpass Exchange Cards. If you arrive after 11:00 you may not get them.

And when you use the cards, the Fastpass Machine will print a Fastpass for the current time as the return time, so they are valid for immediate entry.

Some one earlier explained that the FP works instantly, meaning you don't have to collect them for later, you can just walk up and ride...

I think...

...and you could, if desired, take the card, stick it in the machine three times, and get three Fastpasses for the same attraction...there is no exclusion time for the cards.

We are going down on the evening of Fri. 3/36 for 6 nights. We are a family of 3 and have AP's so I wanted to use our 3 vouchers for the special fast pass cards. I thought I remembered reading where the free admittance would be blacked out for some days beginning on Mon. 3/29 over Easter / spring break. Do you think the fast passes will also be blacked out for some of those days? I expect the crowd levels to go up throughout that week while we are there (we leave on Thurs, before Easter). I am trying to decide if we should use at least 2 of them right away on Sat & Sun before the blackout dates for the free admittance start or if we should save them for the higher crowd level days start.:confused3 Obviously I don't want to hold onto the vouchers and then find out they're not available on those days. With the AP's we can park hop so we we COULD use all 3 of them in 2 days but I'd sort of like to save them & maybe use 1 or 2 once the big crowds ramp up. KWIM?

Any thoughts on how this might play out?

According to the Guest Services Managers (the ultimate arbiters of what you can and can't do) that Cheshire Figment talked to, you annot use the GAD vouchers at all on blackout days.

Oh poo. So if they're saying the fast passes may not be avail. after 11:00 then we should try to park hop BEFORE 11:00 on either Sat or Sun. That's a real push ain't it? I will have to plan, plan, plan according to the park hours, our ADR's & EMH's. Drat!! I wanted this to be FUN not a stressful planning marathon!

(PS) am I correct on the date that the blackout period starts? Is it Mon, 3/29??

Not sure if this has been asked/answered yet or not, but my question is:

If you use a GAD fastpass, can you still collect the regular fastpasses as you normally would?

I would assume yes, but await to hear from those who have experience.

just the birthday program, never got a chance to redeem mine but sound like a good idea

Yes

It does not prevent you from getting tickets as normal. They are not linked to your park ticket. So these Fastpasses are in addition to what you normally can get.

Hold on, there are blackout dates??? When are these dates??? Is there a list???

Just wanted to thank you for all this information!!!

I read through ALL the pages and they answered the questions I had....sometimes more than once! LOL

Yeah I am sorry I might have mistyped. I understood that we did not have to use them by 11 just pick them up by then. I don't think I will really change our schedule, we are there for 7 days and only have vouchers for 5 days (which we will exchange for Fastpasses) so we are without for 2 anyway if that happens to be one it will be fine.

Wait....I do have a question and it hasnt been asked on this thread yet....

If you could only get one GAD FP, which one would you get??? I mean which park would you choose?
