Anyone know if Nexus lanes at Pearson are running smoothly both coming and going?

Does it seem like the biggest issue is luggage claim? We're currently booked Jan 31 with a 1hr 55min layover at YYZ. If we did carry-on only, do you think we'd make our connection?

I went through the Nexus lane on my way to NYC November 4th and breezed through. This was at 2pm-ish. Customs line was huge and I was sooo happy to have Nexus. I came home to Winnipeg via Minneapolis so I can’t comment on returning.

I assume you have or about to leave to come home from WDW. Where will you be getting your test to come home to Canada? I see the MCO says their testing site is open upon availability which I assume is their kits but I'd hate to rely on going there on my way to my flight and can't get the test. Am I worrying too much about it?

While i have not flown at all since the pandemic began, Pearson through the years has been the worst airport ever for me. I do everything I can to no longer book any connecting flights through there. Glad you got your luggage, settled in, and will begin to feel the magic!

I hate that airport more than any other airport I have ever been in between Canada, USA, Mexico and Europe.

Pearson has been dicey for connections (most YOW connection flights go through YYZ or YUL. We never found YUL better. Will be glad when direct flights are available again --- we'll pay extra to get one --- but at this point have zero confidence it won't be changed at the last minute which makes us even more nervous about traveling right now.

I far preferred YUL when I lived in Ottawa. Never had a problem there other than a weather delay once which was obviously not their fault.

I avoid YUL.It was 1 and done, mainly because of the small propeller planes they use for Ottawa connections.If I have to ,I use YYZ,but otherwise, i prefer to do customs here in ottawa and fly United, unless a direct flight.

Was on a flight to Dallas on Nov 5th from pearson, nexus wait was very little at 5AM, but my parents did not have nexus. They waited almost an hour in line for security and customs, and almost missed boarding. Coming back at 11pm a couple of daya latwr, there was no line on both the nexus and passport side
