Regulars on this forum are familiar with periodic threads regarding tipping of mousekeepers in DVC units. DVCers have varying legitimate reasons for whether they choose to tip or not. I am in the pro-tipping camp and agree with several other posters whose rational is something like "Anyone who is cleaning my family's toilet is getting a tip from me." It is the same reason I tip my house cleaning person at home. A valid question was raised on one of those tipping threads: Why do you not tip those cleaning toilets elsewhere? Good question. Can't think of a job I would like less than cleaning toilets, even at WDW.
So I decided to keep some $10 bills on hand and try to find several people during my trip who were cleaning toilets. It happened today at Prime Time. I handed the tip and said, "Thanks, Sara, for the work you do." I thought she was going to cry. Then I thought that I was going to cry. She said, "God bless you, Mam." And I replied, "God bless you also, Sara." Best money I have spent at Disney in a long time. I don't expect every tip to be so acknowledged, but I am hooked now. Small moments, my friends. They make life worthwhile.
