Hello! Just wanted to start off by saying how instrumental these boards have been in helping me plan my upcoming WDW vacation. I am a recent college grad and my parents surprised me with a trip the last week in August. Our first family adventure since I was 6!

I originally laid out a basic itinerary for our trip but it seems to have been thrown to the wayside as A&E and 7DMT are really my only to must do's. (Crazy for a Frozen obsessed 21 year old to have to meet the newest arrivals from Arendelle, I know. :p) We are staying at the SOG Resort so I'm planning to try for FP for both attractions at midnight each 30 day mark. The last day of our visit, MK has evening EMH from 12-2 AM. We have purchased a 3 day park hopper but as long as I am in the park prior to midnight on that third day, would I be able to stay in the park during those hours in the event that I am unsuccessful for getting A&E FP?

Also, if I am looking to secure FP for HS in the evening only as we are spending the duration of our first day at Blizzard Beach, is that even a possibility? I know that you can edit FP times once you've obtained one so would it be just as simple as grabbing the FP for the attractions I want at any time they have available and then editing them to my preferred schedule?

Thanks in advance for all of your help. And my apologies if this post isn't posted in the correct location. Hoping to get my footing around here soon! :)

As long as you are in MK before midnight, I would think you are fine--as in they won't turn you away. Also, they're not going to come and find you and drag you out. Just be aware that, during EMH, there are no FP+s. I found an Anna and Elsa at the 30 day mark, so I'm beginning to believe that Disney does release some every day. If at first you don't succeed, try try again. And keep on trying. We got one for the dwarves at 30 days out too so I wouldn't be too concerned about that one either.

If you're going to be at Blizzard Beach, then, yes, you'll be able to make FP+ selections for the evening. Since that will be your first park of the day (and really, you can pick the park you want; like if you'll be in MK in the morning and Epcot in the afternoon, you can choose FP+s for Epcot and completely ignore MK), you can make your three choices.

Okay, that's what we figured. If I am unable to get anything 30 days out (although I'm hearing more stories that this is possible! :cutie:) we were just planning to wait in traditional standby during those EMH in hopes that most little ones will have met A&E and the line will be shorter.

Thanks for your help!! :)

You are more than welcome. I did see some evening numbers of 90 minutes while we were there last week. I'd also recommend getting the MDE on your smart phone and checking the wait times leading up to your vacation. That might give you a better picture of what you're up against.

Shades of Green guests can use EMH... so I don't understand why you are concerned about being asked to leave? :confused3:confused3

I think OP was just concerned that once the clock struck midnight, the three-day ticket would be done.

SoG guests, though considered offsite guests for FP+ purposes, are considered on-site guests for Extra Magic Hours, so you will have full access to the EMH hours.

It can't hurt to check for those FPs every day leading up to your trip. I live locally, so when I planned an end of the school year trip for myself two weeks out, there were no 7DMT or A&E passes available. Every morning when I was getting coffee, I would use MDE to check and see if anything became available. After lots of checking, these are the FP's I finally wound up with four days before I went.

Yes! That is totally doable and actually how I put together my end of the year celebration day when I went! I was able to change times around for 7DMT and A&E by just going into MDE and selecting change time. After I got my additional FPs, I would just select what I wanted to ride and then either change the time or experience as I saw fit.

Here are the FPs I actually wound up with that day, after schedule changing and all that:

Absolutely!:)

In fact, since SoG is an EMH eligible Resort, you can enter MK AFTER midnight(or any time before 2:59:59 AM) if you like.:)

The Midnight -2:00 AM EMH is considered "part" of the Park "day" that began the "previous" day so no additional ticket for the Midnigth -2:00 AM EMH is needed.:)
