Today DD15 is DD 16!!! She's taking her road test as we speak. Pray!! This is super nerve wracking... I'm glad this is the last time I have to do this...
Good luck! DS14.5 is rapidly approaching his permit and I am dreading that. Am no where near ready for his actual license yet![]()
DD17 hasn't scheduled her road test yet. Considering what my insurance will be after she gets her license, I am not in any hurry to nag her about it.
Congratulations to your daughter.
Yay, congrats!!
But I have to ask....how? How did she get her DL in NC on the day of her 16th birthday? We aren't able to do the driving portion (6 hours behind the wheel) of driver's ed until they turn 15---which takes usually 3 days. Then one full year of having a learner's permit before being allowed to take the driver's license test. Is it different in our county?
Lucky you! Thanks for clarifying. It must be a county thing. Maybe they are just so impacted with kids here that they are making them wait longer to do the driving portion. A friend's son had to wait several weeks after the classroom portion before getting to drive, and he was already one of the older ones.
We've run into similar discrepencies with the state re. community college. CPCC has closed most of their classes to dual enrollment, while SPCC has not, even though it's supposed to be a state decision.
PS. Happy Birthday to your DD. Hope you're taking her to WDW....![]()
