At SeaWorld (not Discovery Cove) - are there any swimming options?

Are there any swimming options at Sea World itself (I am not asking about Discovery Cove) - for both adults and children?

My 9 year old swam and interacted with the Begula's this Januaryat Seaworld. What a beautiful time he had. Seaworld gave him this as a Wish...he is sick. They Beluga interactions for those 14 years and up. This is a good time!

I think that's the walk through, the sharks are all around you (including over your head) and it makes you feel as though you are swimming with them.

As the other poster said, there are swimming options you can pay for. I just re-read your post. When I originally answered I thought you meant just swimming....lol....

Also when we were there there were people doing a dolphin interaction in a kayak with a trainer.

there is a program where you enter the Shark Encounter exhibit in a cage with dive equipment. you don't need to be certified to be able to participate.

Not sure exactly what you mean by swimming, but there are no regular swimming pools at Sea World.
You can do 2 different special programs where you do get into one of the tanks. The Beluga whale experience has you in wetsuits and you can get in the water with the beluga and trainer. This is what I have asked for for Christmas! LOL It costs about $170 or $180 if I remember correctly. It looks like you get to feed them fish and get them to do "tricks" by using hand signals. Looked like the ones actually tredding water with them got a kiss on the cheek. It is limited to 2 or 3 people. It looks really cool! Didn't seem like a very long experience-maybe 15-20 minutes total. I don't think kids can do this one. Anyway I have never seen a child in the water any of the times I have seen people doing this.
The other water you can get in is the shark tank( in the cage) . Not sure how much that costs.

the shark dive is $150.00. since the majority of the sharks are sand tigers and nurse sharks, I've never thought it would be worth it. you can hang out with bigger sharks in the gulf for free.

I seem to remember my friend saying there is an interactive water play area in Seaworld.

There is an interactive water play area at SWF. It's behind Shamu stadium. There's a ship wreck in the middle of some water. It's not deep, maybe a foot at the most. There are squirt guns on the ship, and people get wet, but I wouldn't call it swimming. Then off to the side is another water jungle gym thing with some tunnels. It's small and will only keep the kids busy for about 5 minutes.
One time we went, I brought a change of cloths for the daughter, and let her get wet. I stayed dry and watched.

SW has pioneered an innovative program called Passive Swimming: The On Land Ocean Adventure. You don't do anything, they do all the work. All you have to do is remember to sit in Row ONE at Shamu Stadium. There are no height requirements for this Adventure, adults and children can all participate.

In addition to the kids play area with mostly water guns to get wet, kids also play in the water fountains in fronmt of Voyagers in the waterfront area. I think there also is a big splash from the rocks in this area, too. They might have discontinued that though.
