At long last, Nicki & Todd are going back to WDW, LIVE!

that was the platter we had -- the flank steak & chicken & I think pork too. Will have to look it up when I get around to posting pictures. We ate every bit of everything. There was some that was too hot/spicy for me, but Mark scarfed that down. And I like the plain rice, because I can mix it with something that's a bit too hot and then it's OK for my wimpy taste buds.

We skipped the appetizers since we both liked those chips & dip. That was enough for us as a starter.

Can't wait to read your review on Via Napoli...hope you liked it as much as we did!

Arrived back at our room just a little after 9am and our room was completely done, our Mousekeeper, Mati, is incredible! We have different towel art every day, lots of soaps, shampoos, towels...the place is immaculate! Yesterday she asked what time we are our of the room and when do we come back. I told her out at 8am most days and back by 1-ish. She said she will make sure she cleans our room first so we always have a clean room to come back to...isnt she great?

We had a glorious day at the pool, the sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky. We stayed at the village pool and we were the only ones there. Todd took a nap outside, thank goodness we were alone as he snores like an old man :rotfl: and I read my book. Around noon we came in to get cleaned up and head to Epcot. This time we took the bus and we were the only one at the bus stop, seconds later an empty Epcot bus pulls up and off we go to lunch at Via Napoli. We had 3pm ressies to get to but I figured we would be early and see what would happen.

This tree is new, wasnt here last night. It is made entirely of Duffy Bears and they will all got to Toys for Tots.

All the F&W stuff is gone except for the food kiosks, they have not been removed yet. There is only 1 boat running so we went for a ride to Morocco and then to Germany...you can smell the caramel from the dock!:cloud9:

We arrived at Via Napoli around 2pm and the gorgeous Italian girl could not say my heavy German last name and she looked at me and said "You are not German, you are very much Italian...I can tell by your face" and I told her she was right, I am a big time Italian girl that needs some pizza!!! :lmao:

She said it was ok that we were early as there was plenty of tables available. The place is gorgeous, the waiters are young and HOT! :upsidedow They do have outside seating but it was full so we had a great window table. Our waiter was Giancarlo and he was fantastic but we did have a breakdown in communication.

Todd had a Prosecco and he loved it, crisp and clean and a bit sweet

Nov15afternoonandnight002.jpg

I had the blood orange aqua fresco, this was delish! Thing refreshing orange water

Nov15afternoonandnight003.jpg

Karin had told me to get the appie for 2 but Giancarlo said they were out of the rice balls and would not sub anything else so I told Todd he could get whatever he wanted. Oh the look of total bliss on the boy's face :cloud9: Of course he had to get two things, you know Nic, one for each of us. More like a bite for me and the rest for you dear but thats ok.

He choose the salami and parmesan appie. This was incredible for a nice Italian loving girl like me. The cheese was creamy yet very tangy and it melted on your tongue. The salami was chewy yet tender and salty but in a very good way. Todd ate the olive and the pepper and he wished there were more.

Nov15afternoonandnight004.jpg

The second choice was the fried veggies. There were artichoke hearts, mushrooms and asparagus. This was blow your mind incredible. The batter was light and crispy and not greasy at all, the veggies tender but yet had a bite to the tooth (al dente) and the flavor was just HUGE. The sauce was a great dip to the veggies and was tart and sweet at the same time.

Nov15afternoonandnight005.jpg

We knew we would get pizza and I knew he would go for the Margherita Pizza. The crust was thin, there was alot of sauce but it was great and the cheese had a nice chew and great flavor. He ate the entire thing but did share a slice with his wife but that came with a price....I had to give him a slice of mine! :scared1: The pizza was served on the metal tray and stayed hot the entire time

Nov15afternoonandnight006.jpg

I had the artichoke truffle pizza and it was, words cannot describe the flavor in the pizza. It was just packed with, well, FLAVOR! I loved it, I wish I had some now!! Todd thought it was delish but very rich and he was fine with just 1 piece.

Nov15afternoonandnight007.jpg

All around us people were ordering the spaghetti with meatballs. The table next to us each had it and there was a huge plate of pasta with tons of tiny meatballs. I would like to come back and try that. Also, Tutto was dead as a doornail...seems Via Napoli has stolen their thunder.

Both of us agree, VN is the winner of the trip so far. The food is beyond excellent and the service is top notch. We are trying to see where we can fit it in again this week.

Now onto the important stuff!!!!!!:cool1:

Boy it is taking me awhile tonight, the computer connection is going in and out

Yeah, I don't know what is taking her so long????? :lmao::lmao::lmao: Gee, I got ALL my photopass pics up in a shorter time than it is taking her to do a review today. ;)

I am just waaay to slow for ya huh? I will get more coffee and work into the night :rotfl:

Um, she's supposed to be on duty with us tonight...she must think she's on vacation or somethin'.

Vacation smacation...time to feed your "porn" addiction!

Well, now you've reviewed Boma and although it sounds good I think we'll stick with Cape May for breakfast. Thanks for the review this evening. It sure beats the mess I had in the laundry room. The washer overflowed and I had an inch of water leaving me now with a clean floor, washer/dryer and a ton of wet rugs and towels. UGH. This is just what I needed to end the day. Have a great day tomorrow and, of course, looking forward to your reviews. :)

On no, that is awful! Happened to me once so I can feel you pain!

Sorry you didn't enjoy Boma as much this trip. We thought it was just as good as our first visit when we were there in September (the only thing I didn't like was the yogurt that Todd had).

It was good but not wowza great, KWIM?

that was the platter we had -- the flank steak & chicken & I think pork too. Will have to look it up when I get around to posting pictures. We ate every bit of everything. Oh, we didnt like VN, we LOVED it!

Thanks for the Boma buffet pics. We have a ressie there in Dec :)

Happy to help Mary, make sure you get those goat cheese eggs!

So glad that you enjoyed your meal at VN. I know how much you were looking forward to it.

After lunch we had to get something sweet...well what do you know, will you look at that??? Germany is right next door!!!

Told ya, we are addicted....nuff said

I promised the man that he could have a caramel apple. I have never in my life had one, yes this is a fact. I have had red candy apples but never caramel.

This sucker was huge and she cut it into 4 pieces. The apple was very tart but add in the sweet caramel that is as thick 1/4" and you have a happy pairing. The taste was addicting and now I am in love

Nov15afternoonandnight008.jpg

Now since I was not sure I would like the apple I had to have a back up plan right? :cutie: I went for the vanilla cupcake. The icing is too sweet for this cake so I took off most of it except what was connected to the caramel. Just a bit of frosting and in the caramel and the moist cake and you have nirvana. Todd loved it and said in order to do a proper comparison we need to try the chocolate one next. Did I marry a genius or what??

Nov15afternoonandnight009.jpg

We polished off the sugar rush, took advantage of the high energy and walked to the BWI until he konked out on me and we took a boat over to HS. Time to get our Lights On!

HS was not busy when we arrived, right before 4pm. We did TSM in just a 10 minute wait. Did the Indiana Jones thing again and a few other things...like drink. :goodvibes I will post all the food related stuff here and then a few Osborne Light pics

Commissary menu...look at the burger topped with fried shrimp :confused3

Todd had a pina colada and said it tasted like a slurpee

Nov15afternoonandnight018.jpg

I had the Winter Wonderland and it was the best drink ever, made me feel like I was on a beach in the Bahamas! I had a second one on our way out of the Osborne lights but didnt take a pic of it because the stand was mobbed and I just wanted to get outta there.

Nov15afternoonandnight019.jpg

Before we left the park Todd said he was hungry..I mean it was 4 and a half hours since his last meal so of course he needs to eat right? After going through all the choices he opted for Fairfax Fries and had the BBQ pork sandwich with cole slaw. I didnt eat any but this is what he had to say. Nic, this is just nasty...have a bite. Yup ladies, my husband wants me to eat nasty stuff. For research he says. Sorry bub, not buying it.

The pork was like dry straw and the sauce was too thick and sweet. The cole slaw was spoiled tasting. This went in the garbage as did he appetite.

Nov15afternoonandnight067-1.jpg

I really wanted to get my gingerbread men from the candy store but they didnt have any and Germany doesnt sell them anymore so I have to wait until I get to MK or DTD.

We left the park because we were both exhausted, the sun just took it out of us! On the bus back to the resort Todd looked over at me and said he was hungry and lets stop off at the food court before going back to my room

I think my husband is pregnant :rotfl2: The stuff he ordered has me wondering

A hot chocolate...ok thats fine. Then he ordered chicken soup, side of pasta salad, a croissant (he never eats these) and a chocolate chip cookie. But it gets worse...there are pickles on the topping bar and he was excited. I said, you have nothing to put them on. He said, that is why they have these little condiment cups.

OY

He enjoyed the soup, not salty and had a nice taste but he was thrown on the grilled chicken in it.

Nov15afternoonandnight017.jpg

I was jealous on the croissant....his was nice and fresh and soft, very buttery...can you see the pickles in the background?? He had three cup fulls

Nov15afternoonandnight068-2.jpg

Not a fan of pesto so it was no surprise that he didnt like the pasta salad so I ate it. It was very good, nice whole wheat pasta with veggies and lots of pesto.

Nov15afternoonandnight043.jpg

He said the cookie was good, not greasy and very chewy. Good brown sugar flavor

Nov15afternoonandnight021.jpg

Via Napoli looks so great! My parents are both New Yorkers so I am a total pizza snob...yikes! Can't wait to try it in January. Your reviews are great and getting me so excited!

Sounds like another great day - thanks for the shots of the holiday drinks in the Studios. DD was disappointed you didn't share any pictures of the hot waiters at Via Napoli. :lmao:

Both of us agree, VN is the winner of the trip so far. The food is beyond excellent and the service is top notch. We are trying to see where we can fit it in again this week.

We ate here in September and LOVED it!!! I had a glass of Prosecco and really enjoyed and the candele. DH had the Margherita pizza and was very, very happy. I think it was our best meal also.

Tomorrow we are finally going to MK! Breakfast at Main Street Bakery, who knows what for lunch and I have no idea what for dinner. I know we will come back to the room for a pool break (the weather will be 82 tomorrow) and my poor husband is so pale he is clear...we finally have him up to peach coloring ha ha and we do have dinner ressies at Il Mulino. If you recall Todd is the one that wanted to eat there...now he doesnt know. He is thinking about it. He will decide tomorrow. He will drive me insane now.

Good night all!

So glad that you enjoyed your meal at VN. I know how much you were looking forward to it.

I was so glad too...I dont think I could take another eh blech meal!

Your review makes me want to go to Via Napoli!

Me too :lmao:

Via Napoli looks so great! My parents are both New Yorkers so I am a total pizza snob...yikes! Can't wait to try it in January. Your reviews are great and getting me so excited!

I am a pizza snob too, we have great pizza in Boston and DH grew up in Jersey (close to NY) and we both loved this pizza. Happy to help get you syked for WDW!

Sounds like another great day - thanks for the shots of the holiday drinks in the Studios. DD was disappointed you didn't share any pictures of the hot waiters at Via Napoli. :lmao:

It was a great day...tell DD I promise to do better the next time. It was hilarious because Giancarlo was addressing all the ordering questions to me and ignoring Todd...I thought it was cute, Todd not so much.

We ate here in September and LOVED it!!! I had a glass of Prosecco and really enjoyed and the candele. DH had the Margherita pizza and was very, very happy. I think it was our best meal also.

So far it is our best meal. I would love to try and get back there

seeing that fried veggies picture from VN made me hungry for them again (we had that app in September.) SOOOOO glad you enjoyed VN. Figure if an Italian girl likes the food there, it has to be good, lol.

Loved your pics of the Osborne Lites...we saw those for the first time on Friday night. Awesome!

Can't wait for you next installment, and hope your get your gingerbread cookie fix soon.

Ooooh thanks for the Osborne shots, get to see it in a few weeks now! Sorry Boma wasn't as good this time around, at least VN was amazing! I HAVE to try that truffle artichoke pizza, it looks so good.

Good morning, Nicki!

I just knew you'd like Via Napoli and that artichoke pizza is to die for! Been there, loved it! :goodvibes

Guess we are keeping that lunch ressie we have if I can't get a dinner one instead of La Hazienda!

:thumbsup2 for good coffee at Boma and aren't those eggs delish!

Off to show my kiddos a little more of Vienna in about an hour! But before that ............ breakfast! :lmao:

Sorry you didn't make the meet. Hope your aunt is OK.

Too bad La Hacienda was a disappointment. I'm sure they will have no trouble filling tables with that view though.

Even though Boma wasn't as good as before, you still have me really looking forward to it for December! Especially the goat cheese and chive eggs.

Sounds like your Mousekeeper needs a big fat tip! That's so sweet of her to ask when you're away.

Bahahaha I love what the Italian girl at Via Napoli said! I am so hungry for VN pizza now. You guys got the two kinds I most want to try. I am very hard to please when it comes to pizza since I ate the real thing in Naples a couple years ago...but this stuff looks pretty much like what I had there!

Umm did I read that right.....you did TSM with a TEN MINUTE WAIT?!?!?!? I don't understand....in the standby line? How is that possible???

Glad to hear that you guys are having such a good time with great weather. Those pizzas looked AMAZING!!! Make me sooo hungry. Can't wait to hear about Il Mulino (it you guys go LOL). :goodvibes
