Sorry for the lack of updates but we have been having too much fun Got up early this morning and drove to AKL for breakfast at Boma. We were supposed to go at 9am but showed up at 8am and they seated us right away, thank goodness because Todd's stomach was growling so loud you would think he was a bear! Both of us were so excited to eat here as it has been a while and we remember loving it so much.
The restaurant was not full at all so I knew I could get some great buffet shots but lets start with what we had on our plates. We both had coffee and Frunch, the juice was icy cold and not too sweet and the coffee was hot and strong and very good (no Nescrape stuff here). I think I had 3 cups because it has been a while since I had decent stuff and I was missing it terribly.
I had carved ham (excellent, very tender and not salty), the sausage biscuit casserole (a bit too salty for me but it was still tasty), a sausage link (not cooked enough for me), potatoes (they were cold) and the scrambled eggs with chives and goat cheese (this was amazing, the goat cheese adds this incredible flavor and texture..I could not get enough of it) and a croissant (very fresh and yummy).
Todd had bacon (he said it was much better than the food court), the ham (he loved this) scrambled eggs (very creamy and yummy), potatoes (also cold), banana bread (moist and very tasty) and a pecan sticky roll (he loved this).
Second plates...for me I had some plain scrambled eggs (delish, nice and soft and creamy), a little corn beef hash (way too salty to eat), cinnamon raisin french toast (this was awesome, tons of flavor and nice and sweet)
Todd had yogurt (he thought it was vanilla but it was plain and he didnt like it), more bacon and eggs but he ate it before I could get back to the table and take a picture
Fruit - all of it was great except the pineapple because it was sour
By the time we left it was almost 9am and the place was getting packed, there were people everywhere! So glad that we decided to get over to AKL early so we can eat and go to the pool...worked out perfectly
We were talking about coming back here for our departure day but Boma failed to wow us like it did in the past. Dont get me wrong, it was pretty good just not good enough to go back another time this trip so I booked us a new breakfast (another first time place this trip)...Rainforest Cafe at the AK, we are planning on spending the day at the park on our departure day so this makes sense. Hope its good! Todd really wants Cape May but I cannot seem to get us in and I dont want to be driving all over the place the day we check out, I just want to get to the park and have breakfast and then hang out all day, have lunch and get on the road for home by 3.

Well, now you've reviewed Boma and although it sounds good I think we'll stick with Cape May for breakfast. Thanks for the review this evening. It sure beats the mess I had in the laundry room. The washer overflowed and I had an inch of water leaving me now with a clean floor, washer/dryer and a ton of wet rugs and towels. UGH. This is just what I needed to end the day. Have a great day tomorrow and, of course, looking forward to your reviews.
