Would you mind taking pictures of the kids meals for me,just tell the parents around you its for quality assurance!!!:rotfl: JUST KIDDING!!!!!! Have a wonderful day:flower3:

Yay! You're there! What a lovely gift from Tom and Karin. They are so sweet. Can't wait to meet them in February. Sounds like your trip is off to a great start and I truly hope you're having a wonderful time at F&W today. Someday, I won't be a teacher anymore, and I'll be able to take a trip in the fall and go to F&W...though, by then, we'll probably be looking at pictures of it on the vintage boards. :lmao:

sorry you forgot your camera, I always try to put my elf camera in the pocket book but then I try to have my husband carry the SLR (but sometimes I think he purposely leave it in the hotel room with the video camera)

Loved your first review, Nicki! Even though it's NOT WPE!!! :lmao: But at least you ate at one of Wolfi's places!

Sorry you forgot your camera, and I was shocked to hear how full DTD was!
Can't wait to hear about F&W. Since we won't have a chance to go for ourselves we live through you!

Glad you liked your stocking! And I am happy to see the embroidery worked out well - the Dreammaker and I had some spelling problems! :rotfl2:

Happy to hear you made it - despite the stress of the traffic and no camera at dinner! Sounds like a glorious day - hope they continue for you and for the week after your trip too. We arrive on 11/30 and were last there in February when it was absolutely freezing. Us Northeasterners come to Florida for warmth and I don't think we could handle another cold trip. Enjoy your day. :goodvibes

Today was an amazing day, cannot wait to tell you all about it!

Hi Nicki!

I am joining in here too!

Karin and I are glad you like your little gift! :goodvibes

Hi Tom! Thank you so much for the wonderful gift, you are the best!

That trip with the girls was so much fun but very exhausting! We are having an amazing time at the CBR and Todd said we should take the girls here the next time, the pool is awesome!!! I will see what I can do about the kids meals, I'll just ask total strangers if I can photograph their food

Glad to hear y'all made it there safely. Karin & Tom are super sweet, I feel blessed to have had the chance to meet them!:thumbsup2

You are so lucky, I cannot wait to meet you and them!

You are lucky that you can meet them, maybe I can convince Todd to go for a long weekend and we can all meet up! F&W was exhausting today, will tell you more in a bit.

Could not wait until naptime so I could check your review! So glad you are having a gorgeous day at WDW! Have fun!

Naptime is update time! You all know me so well ;)

sorry you forgot your camera, I always try to put my elf camera in the pocket book but then I try to have my husband carry the SLR (but sometimes I think he purposely leave it in the hotel room with the video camera)

And Todd left the Blackberry in the car too because this is a total no work at all vacation for him and we told all our friends and family to call my cell.

I really wanted WPE but WPCafe was awesome too and very very busy. DTD was the busiest I have ever seen it in all the years we have been coming....we are going back the night before we leave for dinner and shopping so we may try and get a much earlier start to avoid crowds.

We LOVED our stocking! You are an amazing woman and we both want to meet up with you and Tom..can you give me your exact dates so when I get home I can see what magic I can work?

Great start. I'm not going to say a word about the camera. :rolleyes1

Tell Todd he better behave himself because he really doesn't want to mess with me.

I hope you guys are having a great time. :)

Hey Mon from the Caribbean Beach! The resort is awesome and we are falling in love with the place all over again...super quiet location, super clean room, awesome grounds, just perfect for us! Let me tell you about our day...

I woke up at the magic hour, 5am and I tried so hard to go back to sleep but it wasnt happening. Woke up the man and got all spiffed up and took a short jaunt to the food court....holy moly it was jammed!

I wasnt too hungry and we wanted to save room for the F&W so we split a bounty platter, french toast, biscuit, sausage, bacon, eggs and potatoes. I subbed the sausage wheel (no links here my friends) for extra plastic - er bacon. I just wanted a bite of the eggs and the biscuit and Todd could have the rest. The eggs were delish, the biscuit was great, the plastic - sorry bacon - Todd said was eh, the potatoes are ok...Todd will eat them but to me they taste like fake potatoes. The french toast looked sad but he ate it anyways.

Per our normal Disney breakfast we had to get fruit (awesome) OJ (nasty but he drinks it) and a cinnamon but that looked so much better than it tasted.

Nov13Epcot004.jpg

And this semi ok breakfast cost about $18.

We left the food court and made a beeline for the bus stop...we just missed the Epcot bus. 3 MK, 3 AK and 3 HS buses and 35 minutes later and I had it...we got my car and drove ourself to the park...glad we did as we parked right in front, we will probably do the same thing tomorrow. The crowds at the bus stops were huge and there were a ton of jazzies so the drive yourself option looks better and better.

I LOVE your description of the breakfast platter and couldn't agree with you more on the anemic looking potatoes! They always taste as if they were not cooked right!
The only cinnamon roll Tom and I like is the one from Main Street Bakery - soooooooo good!

I can only recommend the "drive yourself" option! :thumbsup2 We ALWAYS drive and it is so much more convenient that waiting for the bus, and having to stand on the bus on the way back to the resort!

And I can gladly give you our dates for WDW
February 19 - 26
August 13 until Sept 10! We would LOVE to meet you!! I am sure that if we can't work out anything for February we can work something out for August/September!

We finally arrive at Epcot and it was time to get our F&W on! We killed time at the front of the park and did a few rides and dragged Todd on Capt EO and all I can say is what were we thinking??? That was bad even for the 80s and I dont remember Angelica Houston being the evil witch....it was so bad that Todd and I were cracking up laughing the entire time and were looking for a way to escape this living nightmare.

Finally, it is 11am and we are at the entrance to the countries but the crowds, the lines, OMG it was horrible. The line for Greece went all the way around the corner almost to Le Cellier!!! At least 40 people in that line. Canada had no one, cheese fondue shop had no one. As much as I wanted Greece there is no way I would wait in that line so we kept on walking.

No with all the food you see we shared it all, well almost all...you need to be quick around Todd. :goodvibes We wanted to try alot of stuff but not get full very quickly

As we continued into the countries we noticed the crowds thinning so that made me happier. Made it to Ireland and DH had to get his cheese plate. The cheese is excellent but the chutney is like eating wet potpourri and the bread is a sponge so we pitched those.

Nov13Epcot003.jpg

Onto France, the Parisian Cosmo!!! I love this thing, DH had a headache (probably from the nasty bacon) and since he is the wine lover we skipped that today so it was drink of choice for me!!! It was cold, it was delish and it was gone in seconds and not from the sun melting it  I still prefer the Grey Goose over this one though.

Nov13Epcot006.jpg

Also from France is the short ribs with mashed potatoes. Todd loved this and I just got one little bite! It was super tender and flavorful, wish it tasted like that at Chefs de France, the last time I had that it was a dish full of fat.

Nov13Epcot005.jpg

Here comes the good ol' USA! Tomatoes in any way shape or form are my man's favorite so we had to get the heirloom tomatoes with onions and blue cheese...this was inhaled by him and he said it was great.

Nov13Epcot008.jpg

And then it is DH's country...GERMANY!!! My German had to get a sausage on a pretzel roll, it was great and very tasty

Nov13Epcot009.jpg

South Korea..the CM's didnt get our joke about Radar and Hawkeye but thats ok :lmao: The lettuce wrap with pork and kimchi sounded interesting and that is what we had. It was very fresh and tender but had a serious kick to it.

Nov13Epcot021.jpg

The water bottle was dry and my mouth was on fire...whats a girl to do? Get a Peach Snap (peach oolong frozen tea with peach schnapps) thats what she does :cool1: Sooooo gooooood I want another one!

Nov13Epcot023.jpg

China, oh how we love Chinese food! The black pepper shrimp with schezuan noodles was the best! 4 good size shrimp with tender spiced noodles...it was awesome. DH had the chicken on a stick and it was huge! All white meat and very tender but there was a spice he didnt like, I think it must have been star anise because he kept saying it tasted like fennel.

Nov13Epcot025.jpg

Nov13Epcot024.jpg

We really really really wanted to continue eating but we were full. We looked at the items at the Mexico stand and we want to eat all three but the line was ridiculous, about 40 people in it. (Seriously I am not kidding). The lines to all the stands from Mexico to Greece were like that. We decided to go to the resort and get some ice tea and hang by the pool, which was very quiet, and then take a nap before our dinner at Narcoossee's (which is still at 7:45pm, I never even tried to get it earlier but don't tell Todd that ;))

Whatever we missed at F&W we will hit tomorrow....I want to be in the countries early, maybe 10am! I will pick a bench in front of Greece and just wait :rotfl:

Naptime is update time! You all know me so well ;)

hahaha! Your naptime is update time... my naptime is "coffee and sanity time!"
I have a 3.5 year old and a 7 month old...:lmao:

While we were in Germany the smell of the caramel coming from the new Werther's Caramel Shop was intoxicating and we just had to go in there. The smell, there is just nothing to describe it, you just want to inhale it all day.

We had to get something, this place is going to be very dangerous for us as we both love caramel.

Fresh caramel corn

These are just a few pics, I will get more when we go back, and you know we will be back multiple times! After our lunch at VN we are planning on sharing a cupcake from here...ooh cannot wait!

I had the caramel dipped chocolate covered pretzel stick...this puts Goofy's Candy Shop to shame. It is the freshest I have ever had.

Nov13Epcot018.jpg

Todd opted for this thick creamy caramel and marshmallow twist. Wow this is just something I cannot describe. Rich, creamy, soft but not too soft, just :cloud9:

Nov13Epcot019.jpg

I need to stop looking at your food photos after dinner - they make me hungry again! :rotfl2: (It's 10.40pm here)

I would so love the tomato dish Todd had - LOOOOOOOVE tomatoes!!!!!

The chinese stuff looks yummy and so does the cheese. Just hold the potpourrie chutney!

Can't wait for Narcoossee's! Have fun and a drink for me!

Great start. I'm not going to say a word about the camera. :rolleyes1

Tell Todd he better behave himself because he really doesn't want to mess with me.

I hope you guys are having a great time. :)

I knew you would bust my chops on the camera because of your text :rotfl:

We are having so much fun! Wish you were here with us though!

I am sure we can work something out, that would be so much fun! We are def going to do MK breakfast one day, need that cinny bun and the croissant sandwich!

Naptime is update time! You all know me so well ;)

I have a 3.5 year old and a 7 month old...:lmao:

I am not a napper, just cannot do it...especially not in WDW!

Great start... bummer about the lines being so long. Is the last weekend for F&W?

Yup, the last hoorah for F&W...crowds there are crazy :scared1:

I need to stop looking at your food photos after dinner - they make me hungry again! :rotfl2: (It's 10.40pm here)

We are very much salad-y people...cannot wait to see what we get at Narcoossee's

I need my Magical Star cocktail!!!! Or two!!!

That caramel stuff looks amazing! Guess we will finally start leaving money in Germany (apart from my Hummel Mickey figurines, which they discontinued!).

Are they making the dipped pretzel sticks right there? Can you choose what you want to have or are they pre-made?
Off to fetch a piece of chocolate - you made my mouth water!! ;)

Cannot wait to try those caramel goodies! Those cupcakes look amazing!

Some day we will get to F&W! Every year I look at the pics thru the green eyes of jealousy! Just can't justify pulling DS out of school and can't go without him so we wait a few more years! Someday ....

Great reviews and pictures, as usual! :goodvibes

My keyboard is wet with drool--everything caramel!!!!!!!!!!! I got a little distracted when you mentioned a Magical Star Cocktail (which I had last December at Narcoossee's), but all that caramel candy, etc., looks sooooooo delicious. :worship:
