Would you believe it's time to think about the holidays... I know they sneak up on me, so I'm adding this link for a great website to help stay on top of things. It starts this week, and runs through new year's. Every week, we will tackle a different area, and by the time the holidays roll around, we will be ready.

6.have ds sign thank you card for bil and sil
7.pick up sympathy card. dh's very good friend brother (54) passed away. they gave him a year 2 months ago and he's passed. so sad. nice family.

ok that's enough to get me rolling for today.

Take water sports bottles to school.
Start tagging photos (over 2000 from this trip).
Prototype Holiday swap.
Start on T'n'T swap.
Finish Rolodex swap. I started it before I left, cut and inked everything but now I don't like it. Starting from scratch.
Put away laundry. The fairies didn't come while I was gone or so the full baskets I'm looking at tell me.

It was ok but I think it has promise. They had alot of introducing to do in the first episode but I like the characters already. I of course will be turning in every week right there with my Gossip Girl and OTH. LOL

I'm still reeling from my BIL's comment to me yesterday. I was talking about free time with his wife and when to get things done and she was saying they just didn't have any time. When he said to me (a SAHM) that they didn't have time because they have 'real' jobs. I am trying to not let it bother me still, but I am not doing a good job.

It was over the phone, otherwise there would have been some consequences. I am still incredibly mad, which is not like me, I usually can let things go, but this has really hurt my feelings, made me mad, and frustrated me beyond belief. I am trying to not let it ruin my day again.

Holly- So Sorry! That's so sad!

aroyer- He's just an insensitive jerk! Probably jealous too. Who cares what he thinks anyway! It's gonna be a frosty time next time you see him, and if he ever mentions something like that again, have a good come back, because it is obvious he thinks the job of a SAHM is easy. I have to see if I still have a joke my BFF sent me... you can email it to him something about men having to do all the things "mom" does, and still smile and want to "you know" every night...

that is just a down right rotten thing to say. i'd be mad too. it's hard for me to let that kind of stuff not bother me. i met one of the aides at school the other day and she asked me if bubba was an only child? and i said yes, and she said do you work? and i say yes. and she said......ready......oh i'm so sorry. are ya kiddin' me is what i wanted to say. but i said, yes i do because i HAVE to. i'm kinda partial to heat and food. sorry. she then proceeded to ask if my job was flexible enough to be there for my little man? well yes it is. i'm the boss. i can come and go as i please. then she asks, well is it far away. and i said, actually it's not even 5 mins from here or home. is that ok?? i felt like the worst mother in the world. i left the school in complete tears for 2 reasons. my baby went to 1st grade and i work outside of the home. so i guess my point here is (long story short) no matter where you work either at home or out of the home someone just has to make a comment.

Thanks y'all for the support! He thought he was being funny, but it wasn't at all. I am with you Holly, no matter what we do, there's always someone out there telling us we are doing it wrong. So sorry that lady was so rude to you! I have done both- work and stay home- and either way it is tough.
