At BWV now......and I miss SSR

Well, they say there is a pot for every cover. BWV is my home resort and the only place I stay.
I lead a quiet life at home and love the excitement of the Boardwalk, along with the location and the view.
But then, I don't go to Disney to relax. I turn into a five year old and run myself, and anyone with me, ragged.
I try to go when the parks will be the least crowded, so maybe the noise hasn't been an issue because the resort isn't full? Or maybe I am just too tired to hear it.
Sorry that BWV isn't your cup of tea, but glad you love your home resort. That makes it so great to have the 11 month benefit.

Now that's funny! :rotfl2:
I guess you could say Disney brings out the child in you and it's probably the only place that you could get away with it! My son loves OKW but sometimes he and his friends/cousins just need the BWV! It's a lot of fun and there are constant activities, it's a different vibe and for a short time I enjoy it too!

I'm sorry to hear you are longing for SSR. When we couldn't get BWV 2 yrs ago we stayed at OKW. We like OKW but every time I passed BWV on the bus I would just sigh.

BWV brings back some memories for me when I would go to Atlantic City as a child to visit grandparents. They had a wrap around porch with rocking chairs and every trip I must sit there and relax a little. Brings back some really cozy feelings. And you can't beat the location with a stick.

I want to try other resorts too like AKV, BCV, and VWL but I can't bring myself to do it.

I love them both; each for their own distinct qualities.

At SSR we have the "total relaxing vacation" that we sometimes need badly, plus the closeness to DTD. :cloud9:

At BW we have the closeness of the parks and restaurants minus the transportation issues we "sometimes" experience at SSR. ;)

We'd get along fine at WDW. My sister calls me "Hitler" when I get the family marching quickly in the morning to get to EMH! My niece says she gets no rest with me at Disney. She's 10 I"m 51! :lmao:

I've got to say, sometimes a resort just fits you and your style, making everything else pales by comparison. We love BCV. A few weeks ago we stayed at OKW and all I could focus on was the negative. I know we were lucky to get a ressie anywhere because we booked a spring break trip which for us was the week after Easter Sunday at about 2-1/2 months out. And although I appreciated even being there, and my DD10 and Dniece12 loved the OKW room and thought it was an adventure staying somewhere new, DH and I wanted to be at BCV. We tried not to express any negative thoughts to them, but the only time I believed the "Welcome Home" greeting was when we pulled into the BC for breakfast at Cape May Cafe.

Even though BWV is just across the lake, I don't like it there either. I like BCV.
