DD and her new hubbie are at BWV right now on their honeymoon....and have lost the phone charger for her Motorola Droid phone. Probable left at the Marriott at the airport where they spent the night.

They don't have a car and are debating the wisdom of getting a taxi to get someplace off-site to buy one. The front desk told them they don't sell those anyplace on-site..only ones for iPhones......TRUE????

Where's the closest Walmart, Target, etc where they could get one?

Thanks.

Can they buy one online, and have it shipped to the resort...

or have a friend or family fed ex overnight it.

I lost my phone, and hubby fed ex to me at AKV. there the next day.

Tell her to stop at the front desk & see if they have any spare unclaimed phone chargers. Hotels often end up with quite an inventory of phone chargers left in rooms.

If the front desk doesn't have any spares... In addition to the options mentioned by PPs, they could:

-walk over to the Dolphin and rent a car for one day. While they have the car, they could go out for dinner, go to the grocery store, go to Walgreens, etc.

- If they don't want to leave Disney property, they could contact WeGoShop and find out what the cost would be to have them go to a store and buy the charger.

- walk over to the Beach Club and Yacht Club and ask at their front desks.

- When my nephew lost his phone at Disney World, we were told that after one day, it would be sent to a central lost & found location. We were able to retrieve it at Epcot lost and found that day. But I remember the central lost & found was somewhere near Magic Kingdom (became I remember thinking we were going to be at Magic Kingdom the next day anyway). I wonder... do they have a cut-off time? Like if someone's charger has been sitting there unclaimed for a certain of period of time, they will just get rid of it, and thus maybe could give it to your DD? Maybe a whacky idea, but a possibility.

The business center at the Contemporary had a few electronic things for sale. Perhaps they could call there. I don't know if the conference center at Boardwalk Inn has anything similar.
I second asking at the front desk as the first option to try.

Thanks all. It's not the end of the world, and her new hubbie has an iPhone, with a charger, but if they get separated it's nice to be able to get in touch.

They are leaving Monday, so I think they can survive.

In addition to the front desk, I told her to call housekeeping...they must have dozens back there, too.
