Assistance from CMs....Am I a crazy person?

There are people STILL asking questions that the OP already answered.

I think that her going through this on their last day and her birthday is irrelevant. The OP could've thought so too and that's why they didn't bring it up. Every single day is special day on my WDW vacations. I wouldn't want a single one ruined or missed regardless if it came first or last or landed on a special date.

Actually, it goes a long way to knowing her mentality of why staying in the parks was important. Not that that would be the wise choice, but folks might be able to empathize more over a mea culpa due to the importance of this trip not having any hiccups.

Because again-why else would you insist on doing just about everything to avoid wasting the time of going back while perhaps wasting more time than it would have taken to just to back.

May not have changed minds--but to avoid answering the question while claiming to have answered the question is just plain evasive and gives the impression that something is being hidden.

Her parents weren't with them. They were meeting up later.

Oh--well then her wording is odd.

Where did her parents need to "go back" from giving an opportunity for then to retrieve her clothes? Did she call them? Did they call her? Did this all happen to time perfectly for the offer to get her clothes?

Again--probably doesn't matter--but they kind of randomly appear in her account as though they were always there.:confused3

I've stayed at FW plenty and NO WAY would it have taken an hour to get a bus back to the resort. 10 min walk from The Land to bus stop. 20 min wait for bus. (30 on a bad day.) 10 min wait for internal bus. (20 on a bad day.) So on a bad day, 1 hour to get a bus to her campsite (and that bus would have taken 5-10 min TOPS to arrive at her campsite loop.

If she'd left immediately after getting the main puke cleaned off, they could have been back at the resort within an hour of the first puke incident. The internal buses to campsites run very regularly. If she'd left right away in search of a shower and fresh clothes, she would have been ready to head to MK within 2 hours of getting everyone a basic clean-off. I know this well, because when we had norovirus, we did indeed have a puking incident in Epcot and we went into the Norway ladies room to clean up, then got on the first bus out of there. No way it took an hour to get a bus.

Actually her third post in the thread mentioned no such thing.

As she has posted nearly 40x, I don't care to go search for the precise moment she modified her story.

And actually--I did wonder why her husband could not do this. Squirmy or not, that is a set of hands that could have been used while she cared for herself.

Happens to be the same post where she comments on the time consuming task of returning for he campsite. But surely she wasted at least that much time wondering store to store and then the resorts.

And confession-I missed that she mentions her parents are WITH THEM. So among 4 adults, dad and grandpa couldn't get the kid cleaned up while she, maybe with her mom's help, get herself cleaned up?

And all that time will elapse when they will retrieve clothes for her? But her remedy would have been that much sooner had she gone herself and we don't find out why she doesn't until page 15.

Maybe I should reread the thread and see if there are any more inconsistencies.

I agree - all of this information would have been much more helpful in the first post, but she chose (another choice she made...*eyeroll*) to shade the true reason why she didn't simply return to her resort. Instead, she chose to remain in soiled clothing. She chose to traipse all over Epcot, the BW area, the monorail, the ferry, and MK in that soiled clothing. She chose not to buy the clothing alternatives she found within the parks. She chose going to go see Wishes over taking a much-needed shower & getting a change of clothes (at no extra cost to her) back at the resort.

One cannot blame Disney for choosing NOT to do something that would alleviate your stress/embarrassment/what-have-you.

;) You forgot one other stop ...

I already mentioned in this thread: My parents were at WDW, but not with us at the time. (I believe they were on their way there, but they did not join us, they went back to get something, etc.)

I also already explained - a few times - why I didn't go back to the resort, and why I didn't get a taxi myself.

Also already mentioned previously what we did for four hours til I got my change of clothes - went to the MK to meet up with them. (ETA: The monorail was down between Epcot and the MK. So we went from BC, walked through Epcot, got the monorail to TTC, then had to get off at the TTC to get the ferry over to the MK. This was also on Veterans Day, with heavy crowds, so we had to wait a while to get into MK, then traffic was slow all the way through the MK. We stopped to get food for my husband and myself, and then sat to wait for my parents to arrive.)

 I cannot imagine wearing puked on clothes and stopping to get food. I just can't. Personally, I would want to clean up before anything else.

I am sorry this happened and I am sorry this still bothers you. I am also sorry you didn't get more sympathy from the CMs. I haven't read all the replies but what I do know is that before I spent time going from store to store to resort looking for clothes, I would have headed to the exit and gone back to my own resort and cleaned up and changed clothes. Why wonder all around when what you needed was at your RV ?

These type of situations stink for sure but come along with being a parent. Extra clothes on plane trips are a necessity also.

forget it.....it's a waste of time....can one person just empathize with her so we can all move on

Haha thanks for catching that, I must have blocked it out because it seems inconceivable to me to want to eat while soaked in vomit. In fact, being covered in someone else's puke and then trying to eat something would have the opposite intended effect - I'd generate some pretty amazing digestive pyrotechnics of my own that would rival Wishes.

I'm a mother, and have been puked on, pooped on and peed on. You go and get cleaned up! I've read through all 19 pages and I'm just seeing a lot of excuses. What did you want the CM to do? You didn't ask for help with anything specific when exiting the ride. They were going to go ahead and call custodial to clean the vomit and keep the ride moving. You also said you couldn't find a companion bathroom...why didn't you stop someone and ask? If they didn't know, stop someone else. There are cast members all over and I'm sure one could have directed you to the nearest one. Also, it was YOUR choice not to go back to your resort to shower and change. You continued to travel deeper into the park and even eat! Why on earth would you want to eat in vomit soaked clothing? It was also your choice not to purchase items available to you. It honestly feels like you were looking for a complimentary voucher for clothing and personalized hand holding service to the bathroom. :confused3
