No way! The PP entrance was like a VIP entrance from the VGC wing that made it ridiculously easy to get into and out of the park without much of a walk.
There really aren’t any great views, IMO. There are some really nice views from the other towers.
1. Much better availability than VGC.
2. New fresh bright rooms.
3. ? hmmm I will have to reiterate #1, because I cant dislike something if I dont even get much of chance to stay there (at you VGC)
1. The walk. The walk to DLH isnt horrible but once you get there you still have to walk ALLL the way around if the pool is closed. I will say the walk isnt as much of a con as it used to be to me, I got used to it. The closing of Pixar entrance will be a huge bummer for VDH though.
2. Feels very disconnected from the OG DLH that I love.
3. The views from most rooms.
It's just not a magical view for the extra points in my opinion lol Monorail Views are soooo much better but so few rooms face that direction.
Yes you can go that way, it puts you at the other security line, we find that line to take longer. But that may not always be the case.
Seems like my opinions track with most of yours. I enjoyed how much less crowded DLH as a whole was (VGC is my home and the Grand was NUTS when I walked through with friends who were staying there), loved the decor, and always find self-parking easier as @Wedgeout says. Also, I love that the rooms have robes. I don't love the walk, but when I'm parking at Mickey & Friends I walk in and out through DTD 90% of the time so it really isn't that big of a deal. My one minor irritant was not having a Keurig Duo to brew my own coffee (seems like you can request one - not a big deal for a 1 night solo stay). The real dishes are a huge plus. Had I been staying more than a night, I would have asked Mousekeeping for the sponge and dish soap to give them a little rinse in the bathroom sink.
Yes each location is entrance/exit. I like exiting straight across at the Sorcerer Mickey hat. Those gates are open to the resort. The other gates into resort are closed but easily scanned open as a guest. I use both spots to enter, depending on time of day & crowds.

Yes, they have grab and go, but a much smaller selection. The coffee shop also has grab and go items. You can get what you want there.
That grassy area has some really cool bands that play in the evening. It’s a vibe and I dig it.
I’m staying in a preferred duo in March- are you saying it’s not standard for a keurig? And just wondering…did you by chance have a balcony?Stayed for the first time on Saturday in a preferred view duo (snagged the room at the 31 day mark). Loved it enough that I took a serious look at the current incentives
There were two weddings going on Saturday night when I was walking "home" in the Rose Court Garden and Frontier Tower ballroom. Not going to lie, the grounds were noisy, but once inside on the 11th floor I only briefly noticed because I was purposely listening for noise. No problems falling asleep.
I would happily stay again!
Most of the Palette Pool "View" ends up being a view of the neighborhood or the side of the convention center building and garage. Onsite hotel rooms with similar views are almost all considered Standard View. With the Monorail Pool View you end up getting a much more "premium" view of the resort, but both are lumped into "Preferred View" so it ends up being a crapshoot.
