I have a very clear idea for what to do with people who prey on children and it doesnt have anything to do with a warm bed, tv and 3 hot meals a day, more like an express train to hell (or something like that)
If you prey on kids I believe you are miswired to a degree that requires your DNA lineage to come to a very abrupt end.
As bad as this crime is, this at least points to it not being a "random" encounter at the Fort. Don't misunderstand me in that I'm not blaming the girl one bit. But, as the father of 4 girls, if this had been completely random I would worry that much more about them, even in the relatively safe confines of the Fort. I know it can happen anywhere, but in this case this was not random. I take a TINY bit of comfort in that.
The problem is that until they ARE caught, no one knows they're a predator except their victims - who may or may not talk about it. So until they hit some kind of database where you could maybe implement facial recognition software to keep them at bay, they can be wherever you are - store, school, theme park, vacation resort, anywhere. And until we know who they are, we don't know who to keep the kids away from either. I do believe their should be harsher punishments, especially for first time offenders. Get them off the street right away and keep them in jail where they belong.
Bracelets, what a great idea! All resort guests must wear one. If boarding bus must have one. Security at overflow! Of course this could do away with our cheaper golf cart rental! This way when entering the resort, they can check for dinner reservations. Maybe specific lanyards for resorts instead of bracelets.
Unfortunately, not everyone in the foster parent program should be foster parents. Some do it simply for the $$$ it brings in.My 12 year old girls have never been allowed to wander any resort/hotel so am wondering how the foster parents let her go to the laundry room? Also behind bushes several times.
One must be careful everywhere.
