We are staying at ASMu the first week in Oct. We have always stayed at moderates and the lodges. I am concerned that the things I love most about the mods will be missing from the values. So... can anyone tell me if there are nice places to just walk around, and plenty of landscaping. I already know there are no quiet pools and sit down restaurants. We are staying here because with the free dining it is a phenomenal deal. I don't believe I need deluxes(I am not refering to the lodges here) but I am not sure a value is going to be as satisfying as a mod. I am wrong, right? :) Thanks for any comments.

We stayed at ASMovies last fall, but we used the Music bus several times because the line was much shorter, if there was a line at all; we just walked from Music to Movies.

One thing we noticed about Music is that it was pretty quiet. There would be a handful of people in the food court and at the pool bar, but when we got to Movies, there were tons of people at both at the same time (after park closing). The Music pool never looked crowded, I didn't go to the quiet pool, we only walked past the main pool. Movies had sidewalks and things you could walk around on, and some landscaping, character statues (small ones), etc., that we found just walking around. We really didn't think the values were terribly crowded and noisy like I had read they were. Movies was full the day we checked in (day before Hurricane Jeanne), but it didn't seem overly crowded, except the food court the evening the hurricane was mostly over and people were able to leave their rooms for the first time in about 20 hours, but that's to be expected.

I hope you find Music to be better than you think, it seemed nice when we walked through!

I'm going to find out really soon..... But I have also heard about this being the most quiet of all 3 all-star resorts. Since we are staying 13 whole days, I look forward to enjoying the resort more, especially since I like to get up early and get my morning coffee....

Actually, the resort is well-landscaped, but it's been a while since I was there. Broadway is nicely themed, closer to the piano pool (quiet pool) and just beyond Jazz, which is the closest to the food court/busses without paying preferred. Jazz is great too, but is close to the main pool and tends to be noisy unless you ask for a room facing away from the pool.

If you go into ASMu realizing it is a value, you should be happy with it. Just think of the money you're saving for all the other extras you'll be able to buy now!!!!

Enjoy!!! :cool1:

We've stayed at Sports & Music and yes, Musci is much more quiet. We stayed in the Broadway section. We were there the week of Thanksgiving and the bus service wasn't too bad. The main Calypso pool was more crowded than the piano pool - there was rarely anybody in it. I would stay there again.
