Does anyone know which rooms in the Calypso BLD's are preferred? I requested #10, but am wondering where they are located. Don't want to pay preferred and be put way in the back of the building!

keep asking someone will have the answer! I am hoping to see more pics from some recent stays!! I'm wondering if all the rooms on the front of the building are the family suites?? Hope not. Come on MAY!

We were in a side wing this week of Jazz Building #9 which pointed out to the parking lot & we had about 4 suites (on the ground floor) next to us in that wing. Don't know what the back side of our wing looked like (it faced a little playground). Our standard room was actually closer to everything than the preferred room we paid for at POP. I'm sorry, but I didn't take any pictures this trip. I think that in some earlier links I've read someone named Linda has some great information and links in her posts about ASMu. I just can't remember her screenname.....sorry!

Yes, a preferred room will put you ANYWHERE in building 1 or 10. Now, even with that being said, the max walk time is anywhere from 30sec to 2mins depending on your building location to the main building! This is the one resort where I truly feel like I'm getting my moneys worth!

In September we were in Building 10, third floor (per request), pool facing, a doors down from the elevator. To be honest... we loved everything about except for the pool facing aspect. With the resort now playing poolside music and movies, we could hear it from inside our room! We never had an issue with neighbors, hallway noise, or plumbing though. We didn't mind it too much and when the TV was on you couldn't hear it; it wasn't 'loud" but you could hear the lyrics clearly from inside the room.

Here are a view pics from our room, we would never hesitate to stay here again... preferred was worth it, the rooms are amazing, and we LOVED it!

Towel animals and turn down on our last night, such a nice end to a great vacation!

Those pictures are great, thanks! I was thinking of asking for 3rd floor, but don't want to make my requests too long! Just don't want to be put at the "base" of the "T".

It's honestly not as bad as you think... I promise! I just measured it in google earth, it would be just under 175 feet from the farthest room on the "t-base" to the elevator. Keep in mind that this is very decieving too; an end room on the base is only a few feet longer in distance compared to an end pool view room on the "t-top". That side of the "t-top" is 10 rooms in length, the base is 12. So if you can manage a room close to the elevator on the base compared to an end room on that side of the "t-top", the base room would be closer.

I would definately recommend building 10 as it's the closer to the food court side of the main building!

Edited to add: by "t-top" I mean pool facing rooms, top of "t", by "t-base" I mean the tangent of rooms off the elevator!

Thanks for that information! I know it's not miles away, but I usually pay for the standard, and this time we "splurged" and hope that it's worth it. Of course we usually are at POP, so this will be all new to us this year!

Does anyone know what other hotels are on the "all-Stars" loop on Magical Express?
