We have a room booked at CSR, but may be $200 short when our payment is due in 2 weeks. If so, we may have to switch to the ASMu. If we do, will it be a big disappointment for us? I was real excited about getting to stay at CSR (and hopefully we will still get to)

I have stayed at both CSR and ASMu. Just returned from CSR. I loved the place. It doesn't even compare to the All Star resorts. I truely believe it is one of Disney's best kept secrets. Don't get me wrong though about the All Stars. They are clean and efficient and do provide Disney Magic. I had a co-worker that went the same time I did that stayed at ASMu and she told me that they had to stand on the bus many mornings. I remember standing one time at CSR and that was an evening going to Downtown Disney. Sometimes there would only be 6 or so people on the bus going to the parks. If you have the money, I definitely recommend staying at CSR. The place is beautiful and they do offer a bit more than the All Stars. There pool area is great. I loved the food court. Never ate at May Grill. It's a very laid back place and is very quiet. Hope this helps and hope you get to stay at CSR!!!:)

The All Star resorts and CSR are totally different themed but unless you go into your trip expecting to be disapointed by the change you shouldn't be. It's all in how you look at it. Afterall you are still going to WDW!

CSR is my favorite resort and I did get to eat breakfast at the Maya Grill -yummy!!! I love everythinng about CSR. I have never stayed at ASMu, but I have stayed at ASMo and ASSp.

Try to stay at CSR. Perhaps a family member can lend you the money until you have it.....
If all else fails andn you have to stay at ASMu, all I can say is.... good for you and I'm sure you will still have the BEST time!!!!! check out some of the pictures at wdwig.com. There isn't a section at this resort that isn't cute. The All Stars have all you need... great gift store, arcade, one of the BEST food courts on property, a pool bar, hair wrapping, great buses, great pools, and Disney magic. I love the All Stars because they make the seemingly impossible (having a "Disney resort" experience at an affordable price), possible!
