DH and I want to go for our 10th anniversary. We went to Disneyland for our honeymoon, but he's never been to DW, and I was 16 last time I was there. We're on a budget, but want to stay onsite with free dining. For the dates we can go, all that's left is ASMu or ASMo. Which do all you experts recommend? I saw that ASMu is newly redone, so I'm leaning toward that.

We don't have any kids, if that makes a difference.

Please help, I want this to be a nice trip! Thanks in advance for all your help!

no kids - definitely music.
I totally agree with spicycat - ASMo is very popular with the kids. ASMu is tha most "adult-oriented". I usually request Broadway (close to the quiet pool, buildings tend to be quieter also) or Jazz (courtyard side).

Have a great trip!! :goodvibes

I prefer Movies for theming and more importantly, the food court. Much bigger than Music's.

All Star Music is my favorite Disney owned hotel.

It tends to be the Quiestest of the values.

All Star Music is undergoing a refurbishment of all of the rooms and is slated to be completed by June 2007.

The Calypso and Jazz buildings are completed and the last I heard they are working on the Broadway Buildings.

Here is a website with photos of the newly refurbished rooms at All Star Music.

Look at the Jazz Inn section with new posted:

Please see my info thread formore reasons why I enjoy All Star Music so much.

Have fun at Disney!

All Star Music, hands down. You can always dine at the food court at Movies as it's right next door, but your guest room will be newly refurbished and much more attractive than the one at Movies.---Kathy

they are both great in my mind. i would have to go with the majority here since you have no kids and say music. movies is the best themed disney hotel because all the buildings are related to disney movies. the nice thing however about staying at the AS's is that you can walk from one to the other and check out the scenery (or buildings) and get some great photos. music does tend to be more quiet. also we stayed at movies last time (last year) and we had to wait more time for a bus since it is the last one of the AS's and music is in the middle so i reckon it would be easier to catch a bus. they may have switched orders in picking up (since i know there was plenty of people complaining last year). hope this helps, but most of all have fun with mickey and the gang!

That's a good point.

From the pics I've seen of the rooms, I don't care much for them. I guess it's all a matter of personal preference.
