ASMU--How Many Got It??

Right now, it looks like we'll be there 09/14-09/23- unless we switch resorts with DSis or have to cancel for some reason. Not thrilled with the idea of ASMu, but I'm sure we'll live.

I got music for 8/24 - 9/1 (Two connecting Rooms). Needed two reservations in order to get free dining. I had to book a room only package for 8/24 - 8/25. 65.00 / night on the room only with AAA Discount.

Man the resorts are going to be crowded.

I am doing the exact same thing. 2 nights at room only and 6 nights of free dining at ASMu. Thank goodness I still have some water park passes for 8/25. Now I have a few ADR's to change.

All Star Music is awesome! We went there with a group of 21 for the first Free Dining in 2005 and we had a blast.

It's a beautiful resort, especially at night. The grounds are lush, the pools and the food court are great! You will be very happy there! It is my favorite value resort!

On-line tonight at 8:30 pm got ASMo with FREE DDP. When I went to pay the deposit and it said the person signed in has to be the name on the credit card. I signed out made my DH an account and couldnt get ASMo!!

We are at ASMU again 9/1 to 9/7. At least we got FREE dining!!


What restaurants are not included in the free dining?

We will be there with some friends from Sept 15 - 22nd. First time staying at ASMU.

We are staying at CBR in June and at Pop in Dec. I was worried I won't like ASMU but figure who cares as long as we are at Disney. Like the CM said. We will only be in the room to sleep anyways lol

Asmu wasn't my first choice, but I have to admit that the best WDW vacation we ever had was at Asmu...so hoping to re-live the magic once more.

I am just so happy to get to have free DDP, I won't complain....

All Star Music here... First time there.. HOpe it is great.!

I loved All star Movies... Wasn't crazy about PoP but loved the frozen cokes.. will miss that!

We're going August 26th - Sept. 1st. Would love to meet some Disers! We usually put a lime mickey from Home Depot in our window!

I booked ASMu for my parents for 9/22-9/29 on Monday. I tried ASMo first but they were sold out already.

Were there also. Had a previous reservation at Pop and had to change, but thats ok. It's our first trip ever so I dont think we'll know any different. Whats that they say? "Ignorance is bliss" ....Were just happy to finally be able to go, nothing will knock us down .

I do have a question though, I was on the coffee maker swap for Pop and had to get out of that. Do the rooms have coffee makers and if not, is there a swap started?

Were there 9/19-9/23, I really hope to meet some of you guys. I have my crocs, baggalini and now I have to find some window decor.....

Hey Mickeyluver37, glad to meet you, maybe we can arrange a dismeet. I am going with my DH & 2 DD's (3 & 7 yo). It is our first time there as well. I really wanted perferred but had to settle on a standard room. Where in Maryland are you from??

Are you aware of the DIS meet that is in the planning stages for 9/15? It's an Illuminations Dessert Party at Epcot. They do not have the minimum 25 people yet, so send a PM to jetsetter90 if you are interested!!!!

I have lived in A.A. County most of my life- smack dab between Baltimore and D.C. The kids have off one day that week for Rosh Hashanah so by taking a little bit of an extended weekend they are only missing two days! (I actually just called and switched the ressies to 9/11-9/16 and we'll plan on booking flights to leave right after school on Tuesday! I decided to drop the park hopping since we rarely use it, so I actually lowered our price package, too!

I checked online for our dates, and it looks like we could get it if we were checking out on the 15th instead of the 16th. The whole rest of the week is available. We're not flexible, though.

Music here too! 9/20-27 I wanted Pop too, but of course it was gone. I am wondering if ANY rooms were full at music before they released this! Seems like almost everyone that booked a value got booked there.

Got Music for Sept 14-22. I wanted Pop or Movie but SOLD OUT. So got Music over Sports. I just saw on another board that the Music rooms are currently undergoing a refurbishment. They are finished with Calypso and Jazz Inn buildings and that they were working on the Broadway buildings. So maybe by Sept they should be done with whole resort and that is a PLUS in my book. I like when stuff is new.

I too had a reservation at Pop but switched to ASm for the free dining and it's well worth over $1200 we will save. We will be there 9/13-9/23. I always wondered what ASm was like and from what I have been reading it should be a great place to stay. I have only stayed at ASmo and Pop in the past and keep thinking how there are twice as many people at Pop and I could tell that when we stayed there. I also think about how many calories I will save not drinking the coke slushies since I don't drink regular coke. Gotta find the bright side and go with it. lol I also think it's great that all us Disers got put at the same hotel and it looks like we filled all the rooms because only ASsp is showing available for my dates now. Maybe we will even get our own busses and not have to share with ASsp since our resort is so full.

I read that all the rooms will be redone by summer so all the buildings will be nice and fresh better still ASm pool will be up and running unlike ASsp which is down till the 13th.

Can't wait to be there only 153 days to go and counting. YEAH!!!!!
