Greetings,

What's the best way to get our family of 5 (DDad, DM, DS5, DD4, DS18mo from ASMo to a 7:15PM Hoop-Dee-Do show at Pioneer Hall, and back again?

Thanks,

Tim ==

If the MK is open later the night you are going, the best way to go is the bus from your resort to the MK. The take the boat from the MK to Fort Wilderness, the hall for the the Hoop de doo is a short walk down the dock and then over to the left. Give yourself at least an hour travel time.
When the show is over, just take the boat back to the MK and from their the bus back to the ASMO

go ask on the campground site.

FW use to have their Studio bus stop at the right place - you will have a longer walk than the boats - but it is better than taking the DD bus.

at one time Epcot, DD and AKL buses stoped at the front of FW.

Studio bus stopped at the back (where Pioneer Hall is).

You can either take the MK bus, and then the boat..... or, the Studios bus, and then connect. Both options will take around the same amount of time, and will take you to the same place. You'll want to leave a minimum of 90 minutes prior to showtime in order to get there early, as requested.

To get back, there will be special buses that will take you directly back to the All-Stars.

We'll be staying at Coronado Springs in Oct. Have ressies at HDDR on Sat. Oct 15, first show. Will we be guaranteed a bus that will take us directly back to CSR, or would it be better for us to drive our rental car to FW. (Since they serve alcohol, we would prefer not to take the car...but if we can't be guaranteed the bus, then I would be designated driver).

Every report I've read in the last year has mentioned buses for every Disney resort available at the end of the HDDR shows. If you're drinking, I'd definitely suggest riding the bus back. Leaving Ft Wilderness at night is spooky.

Yes, there will be a bus back to Coronado. It may stop at a few other resorts, but it will get you there.

If you have a rental car that is the quickest way to get there, we took the bus to MK and took the boat to the Campground and it took about 45 minutes even though the CM suggested we leave 1 1/2 earlier (I think it all depends on how you do with the timing of the boats and buses; we were able to hop right on the bus and had no wait for the boat either). With a car about 15-20 minutes...if that.

Don't forget that with a car, you still have to take the Internal shuttles. So while it might only take 15 minutes to drive there, it's potentially another 15 to get to Pioneer Hall.

We reccommend leaving early so that you arrive early to the show, regardless of any transportation snafus you might encounter (just missing the bus/boat etc)
