ASM to Hoop De doo?

Hello!

I am so glad I found this site! I just have a question:

We are staying at the All star movies resort. I have reservations at Hoop de Doo the day of our arrival. I know I run the risk of losing out on money etc doing this the day of arrival due to flight delays etc... I am ok with that.

My question is... our reservation is for the 8:30 show. Our flight lands at MCO at 4:30. Will we have enough time to get from MCO on ME to ASM, and then to Hoop De Doo at 8:30 if all goes ok? What would be a way to "speed things up"? Cab to ASM, Cab to hoop de too? If we took Disney transport to hoop de doo should we take the bus to MK, and then boat to pioneer hall? What's everyone's suggestions?

I generally give myself 90 minutes from the time I land to the time I check in to my resort.
Your flight lands at 4:30, you should be checked into your resort by 6:00. Drop your stuff off in your room, freshen up, figure leaving the resort by 7:00 or so. If you use Disney transportation you would take the bus to the MK and then the boat over to Ft Wilderness as the hall where the Hoop De Doo is held, is not far from the dock. You'd probably get to the Hall by 8:00, which would be okay
If your flight is running late or you get to your resort later than 6:00 you might consider a cab. I am not sure though where they can drop you off, you may have to use the internal bus once you get to Ft Wilderness

I've taken a cab - they'll drop you off in the front, and then you pick up a shuttle bus to the hall, which was quick and easy. I'd take ME to ASM, and then if there are delays, or you feel like you need more time to get ready, take the cab to FW. If you get the cab by 7:45, you'll be fine, while with bus/boat, I'd say setting out at 7 could be shaving it fine. I've had too many situations where buses or boats didn't come at advantageous times, or were super full, or made several stops.

Frankly, given the possibility of losing your prepayment, I'd just plan on taking the cab. Should be about $20, maybe $25 tops. Plus tip.

just remember that a cab can not drop you at Hoop Dee Doo. will have to take a campground bus, any of the colors to back where Hoop is. it is just a short walk from where the bus leaves you off.
