Just looking for some information on how to get 5 adults and 2 children (ages 6 and 3 at time of travel) to Seaworld for a day there.

We are using DME to get from the airport to the hotel (the kids loved it last time), so we won't have a car and I read on FLtours.com website that a trip to Seaworld is only available through them if you use them from the airport as well.

I really don't want to take a city bus, so a shuttle service or taxi or even renting a car (which upon initial review seems pricey) seem to be the only options. However, other than FLtours from their sponsoring of this site, I have no idea where to even look to get ideas to get to Seaworld.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

A car service usually runs about $60 r/t, but that's for 4. Since your group is larger, you would need a larger vehicle. Mears offers a shuttle bus for about $15 pp r/t (if I remember correctly). Those are really your only options if you don't want to rent a car or take the Lynx bus.

Mears Cabs, Checkers, do have 7 pax mini van cabs. That should be cheaper overall than the Mears shuttle. At $16 RT per person over 3 yrs old. ($96.00) So that's another option. A cab fare should be around 25 each way.

It is really quite simple and inexpensive for a group of your size to just get a cab.

Mears Checker cabs work Disney resorts, just ask bell services people to order you a taxi van.

5 minutes max. and your on your way. Cost will be approx. $25 each way + tip.
