Both farther and further are comparatives for "far." Modern usage tells us to use farther when referring to a physical distance and further for metaphorical distance.

In the interests of martial accord, let's agree to both be correct and incorrect. Women have a much higher pain tolerance than men. And men, if they had to, could handle childbirth; though they would require far more than a birthing canal to do so.

The degree might explain your misuse of punctuation. They taught you how to spell your course of study, but didn't bother with that writing composition stuff.

After a great deal of research, I have concluded that the only way the world will know for certain is to undertake a scientific study in which an experimental subject will be provided with a MANgina, impregnated, and undergo labor. Will you be the first experimental subject?

Actually, Kimberly, I was referring to Meterology, which is the scientific study of parking meters. It is quite fascinating, really.

But thank you for your response -- your attempt to undermine the credibility of the Know-It-All was touchingly sincere, but of course destined for failure.
