Ask Me Anything Game: Ask ScottishSue Anything

Hi Sue,

Where do you do your main grocery shop?

Do you have a favourite jumper?

Do you own a mobile phone?

Do you text much?

Have you ever met anyone famous?

How many handbags do you own?

What's your favourite Perfume?

That'll do for now. Hope you are having a nice visit with your cousin :) Showing him the sights of Inverurie?;)

We usually do our main grocery shopping at Tesco - its probably the best between it and Morrisons (although DS works in Morrisons)

I don't think I have a favourite jumper - but do tend to go for my pale colour ones more than bright ones

Yes, I have a mobile - but don't use it that much really - think its a Nokia

I only text the odd time - I'm slow !! I find phoning quicker - and can't do it when I'm out as I can't see without my glasses

Well, when we lived in Helensburgh Marti Pellow lived round the corner from us, and we used to see him in the local chip shop sometimes - so I guess you could say I met him I suppose

Don't have a lot of handbags - I got a new one last time in Orlando, which I use most of the time, and have a couple of evening handbags - but that's about it

At the moment my favourite perfume is Dior me, dior me not, by Dior !!
It's one of the nicest ones I have had - DH brought it back from one of his trips abroad

(I made the poor guy walk from the Garioch Nursing Home to our house - probably about a mile - don't think he's walked that far in years !!)
But gave him a nice lunch, so he's happy now.

;) Nice one Sue, a nice walk in the sun never did anyone any harm. At least you fed him to keep his strength up;)

Are you making anything special for your visitors dinner?

What are your plans for this evening?

I know you like white wine but what's your fave kind?

What kind of washing powder do you prefer?

Do you use fabric softener?

Speak later, :)

Back again Audrey ?? :goodvibes

No, nothing special really - salad and quiche, nice and easy !!
Then melon sorbet for dessert

Then tonight when I'm alone :woohoo: I have a nice bottle of Magners Cider in the fridge, and a bar of Galaxy chocolate to eat while I am watching the Arnold Palmer golf tournament on Sky

It's lucky you don't know me Audrey - I'm not fussy - I'll drink any wine.
Quite partial to a nice chardonnay though !!

The washing powder is usually whatever is on offer at Tesco !!
I don't stick to one kind at all - I chop and change like the wind

If I use Bold 2 in 1 washing powder, then I don't use a softener, but other than that yes I do. Makes the clothes smell nice and fresh (they were washed out and dried by 10 a.m. this morning, as it was so warm and blowy)

Good Evening Sue:goodvibes

It's very quiet here again tonight.

Do you use a laptop or PC?

How old were you when you got your first job?

Do you like the Soaps?

When you were a child, was there anything you were afraid of that seems funny now? (i had a morbid fear of those horrible orange Space Hoppers, i thought they had an evil smile. They still make me shudder!)

Thats all i can think of for now:thumbsup2

Hi Sue, you've been having a fun time! :wave2:

Any Songs in your Head at the moment?

Could you hum us a few bars?

And of course, my favorite questions!

1) I am a Genie, what are you three wishes? (Not sure if asked!)

2) If you were a Pokemon what would you be? (Not sure if asked as well!)

3) You have to sing a duet with another DISer, who do you choose and what song?

P.s. You both got the same questions, for fairness!

Evening Audrey !!

I use a PC Audrey - although I quite fancy a laptop - DH has one for his work

Now you're going back a bit !!! I got my first job when I left college at 17.
It was in the City Chambers in George Square, in Glasgow.

I don't watch all the soaps but I do like Coronation street. It's the only one I really bother about as I seem to have watched it from Day 1.

Audrey, I can't remember that far back :rotfl: I was afraid of spiders then and I still am now.

Evening Matt !

I keep hearing the Justin Timberlake song "What goes around comes around" in my head all the time - must be cos my son keeps playing it, don't you think?

Yes, of course I could sing a few bars - but I'd need a few drinkies first

My three wishes would have to be for good health for my family, for me to be a "little" bit slimmer :lmao: and for all my friends and family to be happy

I don't have a clue about Pokemon at all - but vaguely remember one called Pikachu .............. funny little thing !!

Ok, I'd have to pick one of my all time favourite tracks ever, which is "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin. I don't really know everyone on here that well yet, but I do know that your namesake, Mr. Churchill, likes rock music, so I would have to pick him (sorry Matt). Do you reckon he can sing?

Morning Sue

Hope you have enjoyed your week.

What was the last text message you received?

What was the last text message you sent?

Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?

When and where is your next holiday?

Good morning Laur's

I have enjoyed it I think, it's been fun

Last text message I received was from my DS in Aberdeen, asking me to sort out his flights to Amsterdam - he has a friend over there and he's flying over to spend a week or 2 with him

Probably to my DS again. It's his 22nd birthday on Tuesday, 1st May, so told him to come over and spend some of it with his poor old Mum :lmao:

That's easy - my DH. He phoned last night to say he might not be home for at least another 10 days. The job is taking longer than he thought !!

Next holiday is in October, a few days on the gulf coast at St. Pete's, then 2 weeks in Orlando - :woohoo: Can't wait now - haven't had a holiday for 2 years !!

I reckon he's just enjoying the Guiness and the crack too much :lmao:

Morning Sue, some nice easy ones this morning ;)

where do you stand on the death penalty?
what do you think of our justice system?
do you think our police should carry guns?
where do you stand on corporal punishment?
do you think parents should be allowed to smack their children?

Me again ;) you'll be pleased to hear that I won't be around much, if at all, at the weekend so I have to get all my questions in now:lmao:

This morning I was trying to teach my DD 7 how to rrrrrrrroll her rrrrrrrrs so she could purrrrrrrr like a cat (don't ask ;) ) - so tell me can you:

roll your rrrrrs?
roll your tongue?
Wink with both eyes or just one - if just one which one ?
are you left or right handed?
do you have one foot bigger than the other?
which side of the bed do you sleep on?
what is your favourite sandwich filling?
what is your worst habit?
do you and your DH have pet names for each other?
Have you ever 'let off' and not let on?
have you ever 'let off' and blamed someone else?
and finally, have you ever laughed so hard you leaked?

Good (almost) afternoon Sue!

What are you planning to do today? (i'm off to Aberdeen)

Is your cousin still with you?

When's your Dh due home?

Are you planning a nice romantic meal for his return?

Would you ever have a pet?

Off to get ready now, speak later :goodvibes

Morning Annmarie !!

I'm kind of 50/50 with the death penalty. If it is a 100% certain that the person is guilty then definitely yes. In the cases of people like Myra Hindley etc. then I am all for it.

Probably our justice system is not too bad at all really. Although people getting out of jail after 15 years, when they are meant to get "life" doesn't really add up to me. I always thought "life" meant life.

No, thats not for us at all. It might be a detterent to some, but I don't think I'd feel safe walking around, which probably sounds silly, but there are a lot of gun crazy people in this world. This country shouldn't be included in that.

You don't make these easy do you? :lmao:
When we were at school the use of the belt was still in force. I thought it was a good thing, (even although I got it myself sometimes). But in general I don't really agree with it. I'm sure there are other ways that are much simpler.

But with regard to parents hitting children no, I don't agree, although the occasional light smacking probably doesn't do them any harm. I probably got smacked the odd time - I can't remember - but I don't agree with physical abuse in any form really.

I think I can roll my rrrs - haven't got a clue though. Never really listened to myself :lmao:

roll my tongue? would you believe I am doing it now? course I can !!

Just one eye - my right eye ! ;)

I'm left handed - don't really know where that came from as both my parents were right handed. But it works fine for me

Yes I do have one foot bigger than the other - my right foot is half a size bigger than my left !! It's not too bad.

At the moment I'm sleeping in the middle :rotfl2: but normally on the right - beside the alarm clock !!

I think my favourite sandwich filling would have to be prawns/mayonnaise.
I love prawns, I could live on them and nothing else

My worst habit?............. haven't got a clue, you'd need to ask DH that one !! Probably loads of bad habits.

Nope, we don't. Never really have done. I dare say he might have some names for me sometimes, but can't imagine they are pet ones !!

What a question to ask !! :lmao: more than likely probably

We always blame someone else, don't we? I guess that's a yes" then.

Yes, I think we all have done that, don't you? Especially when we've had a few !!

Afternoon Audrey !!

Well, I've just cut the back grass - garden is fairly big so it took me an hour
(will cut front later)

No, cousin went home last night. He only came up for the day to see his Uncle, then flew back to London last night

Dh was supposed to come home end of next week (either thurs or fri) but he phoned to say he's had to order stuff from USA so may be delayed a few more days. (more than likely drinking lots of Guinness and enjoying it)

No, don't think so. He can turn up at any time of day or night when he's been away and doesn't always feel that hungry after travelling. Probably once he's back a couple of days we may go out for a meal somewhere

Don't ask....... me and DS would absolutely LOVE a dog. But DH is not so keen. He reckons he'd be the one who would end up walking it etc. But we may convince him eventually. (We have had 3 hamsters though, and they were cute........ didn't have to walk them !!)

Have a nice time in Aberdeen.......... you should 'pop' in sometime when you are passing through. Just let me know. I'm off to cut front grass this afternoon, then sit out the back for a bit.

As far as I know it is still going - until tonight at any rate !!
You can ask more if you want - I'm here and on my own :sad1:

Are you going to chat on sunday?

  Poor Sue,

Sorry i couldn't get on-line last night my Dh had taken over the PC and my Dd had the laptop!

I hope to be back n time for chat this Sun, i've been trying to get on in time for weeks but every Sunday all my Dh's family get together, we take it in turns and it just depends when we are done:)

Any plans for tonight?

Do you do anything special on a Sunday?

Are you cooking a roast this week?

My Dh is going to watch football in Fraserburgh, do you like football?

Do your boys/Dh watch it?

Off to make a cuppa, fancy joining me?

I'vebought Starbucks filter from Tesco earlier this week and it's fab!

Back Soon!

Nothing planned for tonight at all. DS will either be playing basketball, pool (at the golf club house), or at the cinema with his mates, so I'm going to watch Any dream will do and Grease (along with a bottle of wine)

Sunday is usually a quiet day. But tomorrow DS has a team game at Royal Aberdeen, so have to get up early and get him away for the day. Then if its nice I'll enjoy the sun.

Sometimes I do a roast - but seeing as its just me this weekend I'm going to have steak/salad. Too warm to cook Audrey !!

No, sorry, I hate football. Now if you were to ask me if I liked rugby, that would be a different story altogether.

My youngest DS and my DH love football - Keith is from Middlesbrough, so gets glued to all the Boro games and DS will watch any football match.

Ok, would love a cuppa - milk and no sugar please ! :rotfl2:

Coffee's ready!

Come and get it! he he!

How did you come across the Dis boards?

Did you lurk for a while before you started a thread?

Are you watching tv while you Dis?

Do you like ironing?

What's your fave biscuit?

Off to ask some questions to Lesley.
Did you realise you called me Lesley when you answered me yasterday?
