Ask Me Anything Game: Ask Boss Hogg Anything

When is your Mum's birthday?

Why is the best present you ever received not the rare, signed Motley Crue "Too Fast For Love" album on Electra Records which I spent months tracking down, purchased at great expense, had shipped from the US, and framed at further great expense? Some badges and toy cars? C'uh!

When will you next be buying me flowers? Or jewellery?
9th June.

Well because I am a useless and shameful husband who has a memory like a sieve - sorry:guilty:

Ah, that would spoil the surprise! When do you next want them

Maybe I should ask you then? I would say "yes" as long as it still allows you to achieve what you like with money.

thanks I will think about that.

what culinary delight is Deb serving up this evening

Matt,

Do you think that men are being portrayed unfairly in the media, for example in adverts where men are always the stupid ones while the ladies are the more able? (See I'm brave when anonymous!)

As, you me, you are a man in touch with his feelings, do you feel that men are mocked for the occasional misty eye?

You say that you cannot cook. Picture it...a special evening, you want to do the best you can for Deb, but before that you have to cook her a meal. What do you make?

Sarah Beeney or Kirsty Allsop? (Subject of much debate for the guys at work - though there is a clear winner)

Take me. Hang on, I hadn't finished. Take me to a place you think everyone should experience. Where is it? And Why there?

I think you're doing rather splendidly for a short chap.

What do you think of the size zero models?

What are your views on religion?

Do you watch any soaps?

(My parents celebrated 60 years of marriage 2 years ago)....... what would you do for a special occasion like that for Deb?

We have just had, chicken breasts wrapped in Prosciutto, jacket potato and tenderstem purple sprouting. It was delicious. Deb's on a diet.

With the blokes I know - no:rotfl2:

Incredibly and for good reason, we are the hunter gatherers and should have no place for such matters!

I would have a go at steak and jacket potatoes. She likes it, and I reckon I could manage it. And, even if it faled miserably I would still have the rest of the evening to rescue the situation:thumbsup2

Kirsty Allsop, easily.

Sitting in my back garden, in the sun enjoying a Bourbon on the rocks and a nice cigar. It is the pinnacle of being relaxed, or, on the balcony of a nice villa at Reunion in Florida with the same accessories - spot a trend:thumbsup2

Thanks goliath!

I think that having role models is good, but not if it goes as far as to encourage young girls into unhealthy and dangerous practices. I think the media has a tendancy to talk about the models as things and not people, so is this part of the problem? Personally, I do not find women that slim attractive.

I believe in God, and went to church religiously as a child (if you'll pardon the pun), in fact I was in the church choir. May have been affected by the fact that my grandfather was a C of E Reverend. I am not sure that "my" god is the only one, but, I believe in a deity. I also believe that religion has a lot to answer for over the years, especially the wars and conflict it has created, whether it be the Middle East of today or the crusades of the past.

Thanks for that back to some less highbrow quesions:thumbsup2

No not a soap watcher.

Blimey 60yrs, that is some going. Maybe a cruise in the highest standard on the QE2.

Matt, not going to ask you a question, but as I went driving I saw a Hot Dog Stand named "Boss Hoggs". I tried so hard to stop laughing.. :lmao:

I didn't know you had a Hot Dog Stand!! :rotfl:

Do you support any football team?

Were you in any school sports teams?

What type of cigar do you prefer?

Ahh, they do say that line is all down to length!

No, not a fan of football - more a rugby man.

Yes I was in the rugby 2nd XV. Played second row.

I like large ones - Churchill's somewhat appropriately. Like Romeo y Julietta, Davidoff, Montecristo, Cochiba but the best ones I have ever had are A. Fuente. Deb bought me a Fuente Opus X from Sosa at Downton Disney when we were there in October and is was superb.

Is Tuesday night too early to start the weekend drinking session?
