Ask Me Anything: Ask Lisash Anything

Hi Lisa

How old are you?

Are you married?

Tell us about it if you are!

How did you meet DH? (if you have one )

What is your favourite classic film?

Casablanca. You can't beat it on a rainy afternoon. Plus it reminds me of the Great Movie Ride which always makes me smile

And not to disappoint you, who are you and what do you do for a living?!:

I'm a vicars daughter! (that always raises eyebrows and I rarely tell anyone unless they ask as I find people always act differently afterwards and start looking at me if they drop a swear word out like I will dissaprove :rotfl: )

As for what I do for a living I work for a very well known motoring magazine so I talk cars all day long!. When you tell men this about half of them drool with admiration. It actually does nothing for me and I rarely if ever pick up a copy of the magazine even though there are thousands of them lying around our office which we are free to take :)

What's been the most difficult question to answer so far?

Probably the ones about what my favourite things in WDW are ie: rides etc as I love them all so much it's hard to choose :)

What question should we ask you and why?

What my ideal holiday would be and why you should ask is that you will never believe the answer :scared1:

Evening Lisa:wave:

Have you met the presenter's from Top Gear?

What is your favourite car?

What is your worst car?

Hi Jo

How old are you?:)

I will be the BIG 40 in September :scared1: :scared1:

Are you married?:)

Sadly yes I am :rotfl:

Tell us about it if you are!:)

I had only been with my husband for 3 months when he proposed (if you can call it that. It was Xmas Eve and we were both very drunk in a nightclub when the subject of marriage came up and as a joke I agreed to marry him. He phoned me on Xmas day and very sheepishly said he had meant what he said the night before ... the rest is history) we married about 18 months later with a big church wedding with the full works and a honeymoon in Rhodes. My mother was not best pleased as I was only 19 (my DH was 22) and my best friend at the time didn't speak to me for years as she was outraged and said it would never last. That was way back in 1987 we celebrate our 20th anniversary on the 23rd of this month so I think we've done ok. My best friend by the way aited till she was much older and is now divorced :rotfl:

How did you meet DH? (if you have one )

I chatted him up in a nightclub. My friend fancied him but was too shy to go over to him. I went over to ask him to join us :rolleyes1 I hope I'm forgiven :)

Evening Kaylee

Have you met the presenter's from Top Gear?

I have seen them at press days for various motorshows and I have also met JK from Jamiroquai at one too. He was lovely :)

What is your favourite car?

Mercedes SLK 200 convertible

What is your worst car?

Anything 'done' up by boy racers. I don't know how they hear themselves think with those noisy exhausts (OMG I sound like my mother :rotfl: )

Have you ever fancied staying on-site at Disney or Universal?

Mmmm that's the million dollar question. While on-site is appealing we like to see/do/eat other things while in Orlando so haven't felt the need so far. I think if we stayed on-site we'd probably not feel inclined to go off and so would miss out on lots of other things. I know a lot of other DISers have stayed on-site and never even gone to Universal which is a real shame in my opinion. Having said that I keep trying to convince DH that DVC is the way to go and that it would be a great 40th birthday present for me :rotfl:

Hi Lisa

Have you ever won a major prize???

You have caterers in for a dinner party, what are they going to serve for each course??

:goodvibes :goodvibes

Oh yes DVC ;)

What other things do you like to do whilst in Orlando then?

Have you ever won a major prize??

Sadly no. The biggest prize I ever won was a huge Xmas hamper one year. I was so excited I probably spent more than the hamper was worth phoning everybody to say I'd won :rotfl:

You have caterers in for a dinner party, what are they going to serve for each course??

Goats Cheese & Red Onion Tarts with balsamic dressed green salad, a nice chicken dish with roasted vegetables and baby tatties and a nice french apple tart for desert all washed down with lots of wine :)

I quite like the dinner shows Dolly Parton is very good fun if a bit cheesy. We always visit the cinema (don't know why but it seems like a different experience there) and I love it when they applaud at the end of the film :confused3 we have done all the usual stuff (Universal, IOA, Kennedy Space Centre, Busch Gardens, Sea World) and also visited Cocoa Beach and Clearwater. DH wants to drive down to Miami and the Keys some time soon too and I want to see Cirque Du Soleil :)
