Aside from FAWF, WHAT was going on at EPCOT yesterday?!

There were tents set up in the CM parking lot when I went at 1 PM. It was very crowded then. I don't remember the last time I saw it that crowded. I didn't stay for long and went home because of the crowds.

Actually the Komen Race was at Animal Kingdom and was over before any of the parks oficially opened.

Whoops..... There was a walk on SUNDAY at EPCOT.... I believe it was a 10k???

Disney's Race for the Taste 10K was held yesterday (10/8) at Epcot, but started at 7am.

I used to love October, but this is pushing me to consider only coming in Sept. I'm figuring that things will calm down a bit after tomorrow (Monday). I hope I'm not sadly mistaken.

I was at Epcot on Tuesday and it was empty. Went to MK on Saturday and the POTC had a 100 minute wait. On the monorail, another local family told me their school district had off thurs, fri and mon. My son is in school today and he is bummed, lol. Our district has off the weekend of the 20th, starting with a half day on the 19th, so it may be crowded that weekend as well.

The next DVC resort (at the Contemporary) was being announced.

that is exactly correct because i asked my sis (who works at the contemporary how ironic) and she the exact same words.

That's what I'm used to. I'm hoping it gets better tomorrow. We didn't do much today since our girls had the Pirate Cruise this am and my guests were leaving. We did have lunch in an almost empty ESPN club. My cousin won some trivia thing there answering 10 out of 10 questions correctly. They said no one had done that before. He's a sports trivia nut.

It gets bad on Friday, Sat. and Sunday. During the week it has been pleasant with the crowds.
