Has anyone tried the Asian selections at Sunshine Seasons? My DH always goes for the half chicken and I usually just go for dessert! I don't even remember seeing the Asian choices but I noticed it on the menu posted at Debs.

I have that every time we go. I get usually get the sweet and sour chicken with the two sides. Everything has always been very good and you definitely get a good amount.

I have the Asian at Sunshine often. I usually get a plate of all the sides: noodles, rice, broccoli and stir fry veggies. I love it. It isn't gourmet, but it hits the spot if you enjoy noodles (and salt/soy).

I also enjoy the beef dish.

Sometimes I just get a side of the noodles.

I ate at Sunshine Seasons a few weeks ago and go the asian. I didn't get any of the meat choices instead I got tofu. For the sides I got the noodles and mixed vegetables. Unfortunately, it was cold and the noodles were gummy. It tasted okay, but I don't know if it had been sitting out for a long time or what but being cold and gummy made it less appealing.

I usually get the white rice, lo mein & steamed veggies. It's been hit or miss - sometimes it's fresh & absolutely delicious, other times it seems like it's been sitting out too long & is very gummy.

Your best bet there is an early lunch. Breakfast ends at around 11 am so lunch menu items are usually best shortly after this.

Of course they are constantly preparing food throughout the day so you have every chance of a wonderfully fresh meal at any time. If I got "gummy" noodles I would just take them back and ask nicely if they would replace them. I am sure they would be happy to do so.

Too me the Asian food was like mall food..Eat it if your hungry but dont go out of your way for it. Now I want to try the grilled salmon..my teens had the sandwhiches last yr and loved them

We have eaten there a couple times and enjoyed it. Can't remember exactly what we had but if I remember correctly the chicken is mix, white and dark.
The beef dishes are good, very tender.

(hint, make sure to try the strawberry shortcake with it) ;)

My aunt had Asian when we ate there, I forget what she had, but she said it was good.

Just ate the Mongolian Beef with broccoli and noodles yesterday for lunch. It was $9.99 - a bit overpriced as there isn't a ton of food. Just like mall food, as mentioned above. It was ok - nothing spectacular. DH really likes the sandwiches, and kids like the chicken.

Tiger :)

Salmon :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 The seared tuna steak salad is also really good. If you like it very red inside as I do, you're not going to get this at Disney, but it is lovely nonetheless.

My son and I had the spicy cashew chicken a couple of months ago with a side of broccoli & rice. He and I were fine as long as we took small bites of the chicken with rice - it was spicy, about as much as I can handle which I admit it not that much ;) We did like it and I might get it again but with a lot more rice. The broccoli was cooked to perfection and quite good as well, not slimy and not crunchy. My 4 yr old ate most of the broccoli which had been my ultimate goal :thumbsup2

There's a good selection of noodle and stir fry dishes. I'm sure you'll find something to your liking. :)

DW and I like the food at all the stations at Sunshine Seasons, including the Asian one. I really like the Mongolian beef dish. It's a really nice change from the usual theme park meals. I'm glad that Future World has at least one nice counter service restaurant.

Mmmm. I love spice...this might be the winner! Thanks for much for all the input. :thumbsup2

For the price I think it's good value for WDW. It does remind me of mall food , but the veggies have not been overcooked.

I consider Sunshine Seasons one of the greatest counter service locations on property but suggest skipping the Asian station. It's not bad, but like others have said, it's just standard. Some of the sandwiches, salads and grilled items are above average and more worth your money.

My DD10 has had the Asian plate and liked it. I tasted it and it was just okay. What we love to get there (and it's sort of Asian) is the Rare Ahi Tuna salad. Seared Tuna on Mixed Greens - with Sesame Rice Wine dressing $9.29 The dressing it comes with is good but we've also substituted Caesar and that's good too!
