The alarm went off at 7am and we turned it off, turned back over and went back to sleep!!!!
We finally got to Islands at around 11am and am pleased to report, we are back to normal January crowds.
Everything was walk on - no wait for anything - Popeye & Bluto rapids were closed for maintenance. Some of the special effects in Spiderman were not working but its still the best ride!!! DH and I both agree that the back of the Ice dragon is best (blue dragon). Fire (red dragon) seems faster but Ice seems to have more loops!!!
The only ride that wasn't walk on was Poseidon's Fury, which was advertised at 20mins, so we wait 10 mins, the line moves and then stops. A cast member then appears to say the next show will be at 3:30 - in 40 mins time!!!!!! Don't think so, so we leave the line and head into Seuss landing.
Some of you may remember from my last report that my favourite ride here (apart from Spiderman) is Red Fish Blue Fish. DH insists I do the wrong moves on purpose but I 100% follow the instructions and we still get soaked!!! I went on this 3 times in a row (DH gave up after the second time) and I came off looking like I had been on Popeye & Blutos rapids!!!
A quick go on Cat in the Hat and we decide to head off to visit Jimmy Buffet. I had a frozen Ruby Red Rita and it was mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!! DH had a Landshark. A quick stop for a Cinnabon and we decided to check out Festival Bay as we had never been here before. It was deserted apart from the Cricketers Arms that was showing the Chelsea v Everton game. Didn't rate this shopping mall at all and cant say we will ever go back.
Not knowing what to have for tea, we drove to Walmart for a look round. DH bought some more Landshark and I spotted some more PJ's that were in the sale - woo hoo !!!!!!! DH not impressed!!! We walked down the ice-cream isle and DH could not believe the different flavours of Ben & Jerry's. He started taking pics and I slowly walked away - lol!!!!
We ended up grabbing a sandwich from Racetrac and headed back to the hotel. We ate and had a couple of beers whilst watching American Idol and a new show called 'a moment of truth', which is mad!!! They ask contestants really personal questions in front of family and friends. They have to answer them honestly to win money but are hooked up to a lie detector, which then tells everyone if they answered truthfully or not. One question asked to the male contestant was 'is the reason you have not yet had children with your wife is because you do not think the relationship will last?' He answered YES and the lie detector said that was TRUE - in front of his poor wife. You get the idea with what the questions were like!!!!!!!!
Just caught the end of Supernanny USA whilst typing up the report. Finishing my beer and then going to go to bed, early start in the morning.
Tomorrow - Keys to the Kingdom Tour.
