Good evening ladies.
Spent the entire afternoon sorting through piles and piles of kiddo clothes to give away to charity. Please, no "you'll assuredly get pregnant now" jokes.
How are you feeling?
Hope you've been able to relax in the cool. (Thank you for the compliment.)
Can I put in a vote for AoA? Only because we've booked there and no other reason.
I'm willing it to be good.
Oh, if there's room on your reading list, I'd highly recommend it. I wasn't sure what to expect going in -- other than the obvious bits -- but I quite enjoyed it.
You and GG have me wanting to see this now! You'll have to give us your review.
This is excellent!
Always wanted to see WL at Christmas.
She's only done BTMRR but claims she wants to do Space Mountain this time around in September. At IoA, it seems quite a few of the bigger rides she'd not be tall enough for (roughly 46" at the moment). I suppose the Seussland bit is good for the kiddos, too?
I'm trying to confuse everyone with my two trips!
The September trip'll just be Disney. The January one is the potential IoA one. Hmmm. Wondering how horrendous Universal will be the first week of January.
It would probably be on the 3rd of January if we went. I'm thinking nightmare crowds!
New glasses are as exciting as, if not more so, than getting a new pair of shoes.
In my mind, I heard a rimshot when I read this.
Is this cupcake real or legend? I must, nay, REQUIRE one of these delicacies. I can't change from AoA now. "Walking over to Pop for cupcake goodness" has already been added to January's itinerary.
I'm hoping to try it out that we do it your way: no parks. Sounds like a lot of fun. Scratchin' the chin, eh?
I'm telling myself to ignore all of this AKL stuff... and here you lot are posting gorgeous pictures and talking about how wonderful it is! RC Temptresses!

Hi everyone! I got back from California late Monday night and had to do chemo yesterday, so I am finally catching up. I am in my airconditioned house and have no plans to leave until the weather breaks. I can do heat, I can do humidity but the combination is too much, especially during a chemo weekBut, it gives me time to catch up on the DIS!
missoutandabout, wonderful pictures!
How are you feeling?

Now do I want to stay in a TLM room at AoA or do I want to try ASMovies or do I want to go for nostalgia and stay at All-Star Sports? There aren't a ton of choices for Values, but it's going to be a hard choice! I hope I get a PIN and maybe I could upgrade to a Moderate!

Miss sad to say I never read the book Wicked so a can't compare it to the stage play .... maybe I should put it on my summer reading list? As a child I did read the entire Oz series ... not many people even know that there were books after the Wizard of Oz. My grandmother, the English teacher, made sure that I knew about them.

Plan is to see Wicked this summer in NYC. Never read the book, should though.

I changed my reservation from CSR to WL!!!!! So excited to stay at the Lodge for our Christmas trip. I booked standard view, hung up and thought hmmm a courtyard view would be nice.
This is excellent!

If I could choose I'd do IoA over DHS, will your DD do roller coasters? Many more thrill rides at IoA. Maybe a night at US hotel (for the express pass) before AoA...Doubt the crowds would be too bad though...

We did it without express pass ...
FYI ... FJ is not an express pass ride ... although there are many other thrill rides that are... You would gain early entrance staying onsite.. But as Pas says, in Sept the crowds shouldn't be that bad. Can you do IoA on a weekday... would help more with any potential crowds.

Don't know how my glasses walked away ... one minute they were there , then poof! Luckily I have my old pair but they are not progressive lenses ... been using my prescription sunglasses but it makes it hard to see at night! My eyesight is not terribly bad but legally need them to drive. Kept hoping they would show up ... who knows? i could have accidentally thrown them out!
Going for new specs this week ... I was due for a new pair anyway (the glass is half full view)
New glasses are as exciting as, if not more so, than getting a new pair of shoes.

Sorry your internet is bear-y slow .... (ok, bad I know!)

And you can bet I'm trying that King Cupcake in August ... it sounds a little quirky but that makes it fit right at POP!!
Chocolate, peanut butter, banana custard and candied bacon?? Yum ....No counting carbs for this RCer!

AKL is amazing! I just know Heather will love it! She is a MK resort gal, so I look forward to her take on the transportation. When we went we did resort fun, no parks. So much to do and see...![]()

Hello All!!
I briefly scanned the recent pages...y'all have been busy chatting today
We made it safe and sound...arrived a little before noon. Check in was GREAT! There was a CM to greet us and take us directly to the lounge...by the way, we did online checkin...super friendly and answered all questions. Our room wasn't ready, but not a big deal. We had lunch ressies at TRex at 1:30. After parking at DTD, AKL text me to tell me the room was ready. Perfect view!!! Lots of animals to look at...kids are going crazy...all is well
Food was really good in lounge...got there around 5ish...more details to comeToo bad it's raining, but any rainy day at Disney is better than a sunny day at home
By the way...WiFi is complimentary. I must have missed that somewhere when reading about AKL...maybe it's something new.
Will hopefully get some pics for y'all!
Talk to you later!
Heather
