We are 8/15 - 8/25
* PBR IOA/US 3 nights
*Hilton Grand @SeaWorld 2 Nights
*YC 5 Nights

We decided to go for the FOTL access offered at Lowes hotels for US/IOA and we discovered that Hilton Grand at SeaWorld offers FOTL access for Seaworld as well. It is so HOT at that time that we love the ease of walking on rides. We have Busch Garden Platinum Passes so we'll be going to Aquatica and SeaWorld.

I love our Itinerary this year

Hstrickland We bought Ap's May 2011, and made trips Oct 2011, Dec 2011 and then back againg before Ap's expired May 2012. The cost of the trips isin't so bad once you have the Ap's. It's the Cost of the Ap's thats shocking.

The cost of APs is quite shocking but makes perfect sense if you're going that much. We need to just bite the bullet and do it. Do you have the TIW deal, too?

Yes we have the TIW. I was surprised how much it saved us. I'ts a great deal. If you go more than once a year it's worth it.

I just got off the phone changed our reservation to GF/YC split. I had so little to choose from with the interline rate. No WL and No BC. She did say 2013 rates could pop in anytime, but thats all she knew. I was expecting them this weekend.

I changed my ticker. It was my dh's idea to go in December. I'm a little sad about missing the Food and wine, but it does make more sense. We can go late Oct/ early Nov next year. That gives 5-6 months between trips.

for the change! We really liked the GF. And as Faith says...."the hotel with the pretty red roof". You hear lots about it being and stuffy but we never got that feel at all. It's such a beautiful resort. And this is going to sound crazy coming from someone that has 3 wild children....but we didn't see lots of 'crazy' kids (like ours) running around. I mean the kids were there...but not tons of them. See...told ya that was going to sound strange. Last year while staying at the CR, we had one of our best meals at Citricos Our children loved it, too. We've eaten at all the GF restaurants...V&As being our favorite of course.

Just curious...do you REALLY think you'll stay with GF

Anywho, Jeanette - I really love the idea of AKL CL for you, and you've done it before right???

We were upgraded when out Kidani 2BR was overbooked for the last 2 nights...offered a 2BR suite which I almost turned down...glad I didn't...our first CL experience...spoiled for sure...

Pas AKL CL....of course I do have my doubts. You still have 2 months to go which means 60 days of possible changes.

Congratulations on AKL/CL! Has Don emailed yet? All those times I was booked there (umm, but have yet to stay CL), he was always such a great IPO concierge.

Just wanted to share....tomorrow I am booking that cruise baby!!! Oh yeah!! Can I get a whoop whoop?

All this talk of pregnancies and births reiterates a huge reason why I do not want kids.

It's worth it, and pain quickly forgotton...but kiddos aren't for everyone...that's why I have so many, to makeup for those who don't want any

We're a fam of 5 (kids 14, 4, 3) and booked at POR but hubby REALLY wants a sep sleeping area for the kids so that we can stay up later and have "us" time.

I just was trying to find the most frugal vacation for 5 and POR allowed us the Regular Dining Plan instead of counter service only.

Help! So unsure!

Welcome!!!! I am assuming you have free dining? I would suggest the cabins, or All Star Music Suite and pay the upgrade!

Faith wanted me to post her picture...she and Bill took off early this morning and went over to Hilton Head to fish the flats. She was so proud of her Red Fish. For a girl who loves princesses and dolls, she has no problem getting dirty! Guess that's what happens when you have 2 brothers!

At CR CL for our final 2 nights. No upgrades here but our room was ready at 10, the weather is great and our MKV is fabulous. Life is good

Think a change is coming for August. Probably a Poly CL and AKL CL split. Hmmm I think that's what my ticker already says. I know for sure we will split. LOVE resort hopping!

Another ticker change coming tommorrow. It's major a date change, but that could lead to resort changes depending on availabilty.

Crossing my fingers that I get to go even though there's like a 1% chance of going.

Hmmmm there is a January trip in the works you are welcome to tag along on....and it's like a 100% guaranteed you are welcomed

So we are definitely doing a week in late sept./early Oct. my kids have four days out of school plus the weekend (we'd thru mon) but I might take them out mon and tues as well. This will be our last chance to do this as dd will be in high school the following year and their days off won't match. I also don't think I will be able to pull her out.

I am booked at BC but very torn. This will be our fourth year in a row at F&W which is mine and dh's favorite. But with TT down or repairs my kids aren't going to be too happy. Also it seems like a lot of Fantasyland will be opening up in the next few years. With the opening of Carsland at DL, this could be good year to go. It also might be a good year to do a cruise. We have never done either. I am watching airfare to both states and I guess whichever one has the best deal first will win.

So for those of you that add days, do you drive? I feel like once I book airfare, we are going to be locked in. Right now, I am booked with FD which requires that we check in on sat. It is such a huge disc for us that I can't push my reservation into the next week (so kids would miss less, or perhaps no school) unless a new offer comes out. I feel like I need to settle on the dates and the coast lol so I can get busy with ADRs. I only have a couple so far.

Driving gives more flexibility. I had an opportunity to add days on to our Sugarloaf stay with a major discount because occupancy was so low with the hurricane in the NE...but of course we flew that year

Seaworld was cool. Remember at Hilton you have to get the SW FOTL at the hotel concierge! My friend loves that resort they stay every other year!!!! Yay for grades being done step!!!!!

Kids birthdays...definitely...I'd pick F&G over SWW....but that is just me. And DHS was PACKED for SWW from what some guests were telling me...mind you I didn't go and it was Memorial weekend....I really want to do F&G one year. Oh, off topic but I forgot to mention..HardRock had a butterfly garden we found by accident..she was so happy...back to WDW...plus birthdays at Disney..the bestest

BTW, how is your DH doing? I remember that scare he gave us all (was it last year or the year prior?) Is he OK?

Your memory is excellent. My memory is akin to a gnat's! He went through some testing when we got back from Disney last year. All the while, they kept asking him if he was a runner because his heart rate is so naturally low. Nothing wrong at all in the end, except he needs to make sure he doesn't forget to eat and needs to remember to stay hydrated so he doesn't faint. I seriously married Scarlet O'Hara.


Heather: Oh, I adore that picture! That fish is almost as big as she is! I used to love going fishing with my big brother and dad when I was a kiddo. Princesses can fish just as good as the boys.

My latest news...

This is the history of this September's trip:

• Booked 4 nights at BC CL with 2 days of parks (Epcot and DHS) and one night at MNSSHP.
• Kiddo promptly mentioned all of the new rides she wanted to go on in MK this year.
• Added a night in the beginning of our trip at CR.
• Looked at the flights and discovered they've stopped running the really early morning flight, making the first day -- our designated MK day -- a bit "too tight on time."
• Hubby suggested leaving late the night before our previously added "new" day and staying in a Royal Guest Room instead of CR. (A grown man so excited about a princess room. The RCing thing: it does run in families, doesn't it?)
• Bought our 4 Day MYW Tickets.
• Started discussing the possibility of going in January for a short trip to meet up with my parents and my brother and his family.
• Naturally, started discussing buying APs.
• Disney raised ticket pricing, making APs not worth the additional cost for us.
• Looked into getting 10 Days No Expire, which would cover our 4 days this trip, our quick trip in January of possibly only 1-2 park days and the remainder to come whenever our next trip would be.
• Returned our 4 Day MYW Tickets for 10 Day No Expire
• Currently: Trying to convince my brother he wants to stay at AoA in January in a Little Mermaid standard room with his 9 year old, Cars-loving son. The other option would be ASMo but I'm thinking we'll just book AoA anyway.

That's the lowdown of my latest RCing. I still have membership, right? I think I really do belong amongst the almighty RCers.

Oh, Target shoppers: yesterday, we found a bunch of Mickey & Minnie picnic-ware on clearance: plastic tumblers, plates, etc. Really cute stuff!

It took me exactly 92 minutes to change my mind after booking the GF. I started feeling guilty about the cost. All seven nights are now at the YC. I'm a hot mess. I know. I love split stays but if I want to add days or change things it's such a headache.I'll wait until May to do my Mk/EP split.

I'm tired of changing my ticker.

Forget to add No Cl we'll be in one of the peasant rooms

DH and I have been on several cruises but we have never taken the kids. I am pretty sure they will it. We haven't done DCL either. I was sorta thinking a cruise next summer. We probably won't be able to do a split so it would be cruise only. Maybe that would be a good time to check out Seaworld since we never seem to get there during our WDW vacations!

It does enhance the vacation, but it's hard to justify it every trip. I know some people wouldn't go without it. Cl is 100 dollars a night more than a regular room. You can buy a lot of snacks with a 100 dollars. We rent a car and we always pick up our own beer, wine and water. If we ever return to going once a yearI will book Cl in a heartbeat.
