:welcome: back to Hannah and Amanda!

Jeanette: We're going to miss you so much!!! I wish you safe travels and I hope you and your family have a GREAT vacation. I don't want your vacation to go too quickly, but we can't wait to have you back:grouphug:. I can't wait to hear all about your resort/park adventures!

Deena: I have no personal experience with any of those hotels and I've never stayed at a Value, but because ASMu is in WDW, it makes me more excited than the other options.

However, the purpose of your trip is not to go to WDW, but to find an apt., right? The Hilton would be practically next door to the WDW employment center across from DTD;). Would you need a car if you enlisted the services of a realtor and maybe looked at rentals that are MLS listed instead? Then you could forgo the rental, have the realtor drive you around and walk to the WDW employment center from the Hilton:confused3

Thank you so much everyone! I appreciate all the support! Life has been so stressful, especially in the last couple of months or so, but I am great that things are looking up! You guys are my second family and I love you guys so much for being there for me.

@Deena: Definitely let me know what you see when you're down there! I have been looking at some apartments and many of them accept dogs that are the size of DBF's dog, which is amazing because I think she's around 80 pounds! It's hard to find a place like that for a decent price here in the Chicago area.

=Janet B;44956419]Good morning Peeps! :flower3:

Marie ... it's my one bad vice too ... trying to give it up (cut back really) and have days when successful (and not so!) But I know the correlation with weight loss, so am trying to be consciousness of that (BTW, how's that going for you?) :)

:goodvibes Hi Janet :) Do you find a big correlation to weight loss with dumping the DC? I would be willing to really focus on giving it up if it would make a significant dent in my weight loss journey! It's hard because you tend to think oh, it's only 0 calories......but if it negatively affects weightloss, that's not a good thing! I try to drink lots of water throughout my workday as they have ice and water in the fridge that I can keep filling my water bottle......I love fresh, cold water :)

I rejoined weight watchers.....I 'd like to be down 20 lbs by the time I go to Disney in late Sept. I figure that's doable.....it's only 5 lbs a month! It sometimes seems so slow coming off though, and I am open for any tips (ex: cutting really down on the Diet Coke) if it will make things easier for me!!! Since starting 2 weeks ago, I am going down.....am 202.5 now , started around 205. Wish me luck!! I'd love to have an easier time walking around and overall better energy for the demands of this kind of trip!

pas130: :dance3: Have a wonderful time. Enjoy every minute and every location of your vacation.

Janet: Will be looking forward to your updates on pas130's trip. :thumbsup2

Hannah: Good to see you! Your news is so exciting to hear that life is settling for you. My Grandma worked at Macy's New York for 45 years and started working there when she was your age. She loved her job. :cloud9:

Amandaw: It is nice of you to stop by amidst the craziness of moving. The DIS and RC makes a nice distraction. :goodvibes

LuvLuvLuv: What an exciting decision you guys have made!! There is so much need for your many talents in the greater Orlando area. Hilton sounds like a nice home base for your trip with its shuttle service, as does All-Stars with the bus service to DtD, so you wouldn't need a car except for home hunting which, like KOOK said, can be facilitated by the R.E. agent. I'd probably go for All-Star for the WDW familiarity/safety factor, but that's just me. Have you considered living in Celebration?

disneydreamin247: I hope you got stuff straightened out with the bank. And I hope today has gotten better for you by now. I'm glad RC is a peaceful oasis for you. It is for me too (any probably most of us). :hippie:
____________

Hello RCers and welcome back to Gwynne. And happy travels to i_heart_the_mouse if we cross. So I am working like a doggie here trying to get ready to leave Thursday for North Carolina. How did that famous quote go, “The cabin is calling and I must go...”? Well, close. ;)

I told DBF that I'm going to plan a fake honeymoon trip because a girl can dream. ;) We have been dating for close to 3 years now. :rotfl: I'm hoping we can do two weeks so we can do a split stay. He was ok with doing a split stay which was surprising because he wasn't so keen on it before, but I'm glad the idea is growing on him. Though he did question me when I said we were going for two weeks. :lmao:

I know my mind is going to change a million times when it comes to resorts. If I had an unlimited budget, I would stay at GF and CR or BWI and CR, but I won't so it will probably end up being either one value, two values or a value and a mod since we will probably be super poor by the time the honeymoon rolls around. :sad1: But I'm going to have fun with this and do whatever the heck I want. :rotfl:

Jeanette just thinking about you .... have a wonderful vacation .... you deserve it .... we will miss you .... Mama Linda

Have a whole lot of catching up to do here, but wanted to be sure to stop by to wish our dear Jeannette a WONDERFUL vacation!!! Relax, enjoy...and send lots of photos! ::yes::

I've spent the afternoon and evening trying to figure out my new iPhone....no idea how to answer a call or make one! :confused3 Please do text some photos - that way I get to see you all having fun and try to figure out how to use this phone!!:rotfl:

Soooo happy your trip has arrived!:dance3: Godspeed...and loads of love!!:grouphug:

Congratulations! The iPhone is indispensible, especially when traveling:worship:

To answer a call simply press the red ANSWER on the bottom of the screen. If the person is in your contacts with a photo, their photo will appear and their name. If not, only the phone number will appear. To make a call, touch the green PHONE icon at the bottom of the home screen, (press the white, round button at the bottom to get to the home screen when the iPhone is on) then choose a number from your CONTACTS list or touch KEYPAD to put in a number by hand.

You will just love the iPhone and wonder how you ever lived without it, but you have to play around with it and not be scared to touch, click and swipe! Don't forget to download the great Disney apps. such as MobileMagic by Verizon and WDW Magic Guide for wait times, dining, maps, park hours, etc... Feel free to PM or post if you have any questions:)

Morning RCers,

Magic-Have a great trip to NC. :cool1:

Minne&Nana, Kook-Thank you for posting your questions and answers about the iphone. I need to make a change soon. Very helpful! :flower3:

Hubster just got a 20% off pin that will work for a few days with ds and family. :woohoo: I'll be calling CRO later today and booking POFQ...already have the ticker made!
This year has worked out wonderfully for us to have extra time with family, and we am so grateful. :goodvibes

HAVE A GREAT TRIP JEANETTE!!!! I hope it is amazing, and I can't wait to hear all about it!!!

I will be caught up by the end of the week. My schedule is full, things are crazy at work, and I still am a hot mess about where I want to stay in June. I'm thinking I'll need to split 2/2. There are places north of WDW and south of WDW, so I will probably hit north the first 2 days, then move to a WDW hotel Friday and Saturday to hit EMH on Friday night. I know one night I want to hit the local malls to see where I could transfer to. But after that--I'll be bored at night, and may want a slushie, or a piece of caramel :rolleyes1 We'll be renting, and apt complexes close at 6.... that's a lot of night left over!! I really want a place with a nice table I can spread my papers out on, high speed internet, and a jacuzzi tub would be nice. Some places have breakfast which would be good. There are too many options, and not enough for with everything I want :rotfl: Hmmmm I'm going to price SSR for fun. I really want to do this on the cheap though. Every penny should be going toward new furniture. Ours is old and we are only taking our bed set.

Oh well. Once I get it together--I'll let ya know :) If anyone knows any good villa/suite type resort around or above universal/I-4 I'll take suggestions!!

Happy Wednesday!

Jeanette

:tink: Safe travels my friend, have a FABULOUS vacation!! Look forward to your updates and pictures!!!

Love ya! ::MinnieMo

Marie: :yay:for joining WW and for losing 3 lbs! It's a good start. :goodvibes And there's nothing better than drinking LOTS of water! :thumbsup2

Some things I've read ... some researchers believe that by drinking diet drinks the sweet taste can stimulates our bodies in to wanting more calories. I can see this happening for some. People just need to be disciplined not to over indulge just because it is in conjunction with other food or drink that has little or no calories. (okay I realize that overindulging in how many of us get to the point of needing to diet!! :))

We joined the YMCA and been going about 3x a week. I've been making an effort to drink less DC (not always successful) and eat smaller meals, especially on the nights we go to Y. I know my weight loss (9 lbs.) and toning up is attributable to working out and doing these small things. I've gone from my highest weight of 173 to 164 and hope to lose less by August.

But really the most important thing to me ... not so much my weight but how I feel inside and the toning that I see in my legs/thighs. :goodvibes Now I need to work on my stomach!!

I think everything in moderation and not to derpive ourselves of things we really enjoy ... that way, hopefully, it will be a plan we can stick with. :thumbsup2

Gool luck Marie! We will all be pullng for you! :flower3:

I've attempted multiquotes..but my DH keeps popping in to check on my packing progress, or lack thereof :rotfl: and I have so much to do :confused3

First plan, nap...then actually pack....yes I know

Laundry is done, house is clean...homework finished :banana:

So today is my first official day of operation Skinny Minnie! I want to lose at least 40 lbs before my trip. I've been eating really healthy the past couple of weeks (with a few slips), but today is my first official day of my 100% commitment. It's going to be hard because I'm going away this weekend, but I went to the store and bought lots of fruits, veggies, chicken breast, and tuna to bring with me so I will always have something healthy on hand. I hope I can do this!

Good luck!!! I should really join you on that quest!!! I could stand to lose 40-50 lbs!! :scared1: I was fully planning on starting to workout this week, until this past Sunday, when I thought it would be a good idea to wear jeans in 90 degree weather for a 2 hour walk-a-thon for my daughters school...let's just say that there is chaffing in areas that make it pretty difficult to work out... Wasn't my smartest move...:sad2:

I will do it though. DH, on the other hand, is running through his 2nd cycle of Insanity!!! He's gonna look all good for vacation and I'm gonna be all :scared1:

Oh you poor thing! Actually Monistat has an anti chafing gel you can get at CVS. It might help with the discomfort you have.

I'm excited to be going down the shore this weekend because I will be able to go for long walks with the kids and not worry about getting run down by some crazy person in the street. I really do love to walk. I used to walk all over the city before my accidents. I don't really get time to work out so walking will have to be it for me but I lost 100 lbs that way!

If you'd like to join me we can start a thread on the wish boards. Just let me know!

Maybe a RC support system to lose weight? I lost 10 lbs but still have another 13 I'd like to lose. I joined Weight Watchers online .... it was pretty easy to do but then I was in So CA and I just stopped doing it. Time to get back to work! :cool1:
