Alright fellow resort changers, I need help. It has been a few months since I have had a reservation to change and I'm itching to do it. Heres the issue.

We are staying at WL (woods view) with free dining for 6 nights at the end of Aug. WL is my favorite. My husband wants to stay at the Contemporary (his and my sons favorite- ONLY because of the monorail). If we stay at the C he wants to stay Tower-MK view. We have never stayed at the Cont, but we have stayed at WL before.
Money is sort of the issue and the fact that we would like to try a new resort. We are paying about $2500 for the WL and if we were to change to the Contemp it would jump to $3800ish because of the view he wants. The Contemp really does not appeal to me except for the fact that my family really wants to stay there and it is close to MK and monorail line for enjoyment and transportation. And I also dont want to pay $1300 extra to jump across the lake and not even have Club level!!
I do not want to stay at AKL!!! OKW appeals to me, but I feel like its far away. BC/YC are nice but we have stayed there before. GF- too expensive. Poly- stayed there and the same price as Cont so might as well stay at the Cont. SS- no appeal. Boardwalk?? Should I just suck it up and stay at the Cont- or just keep me happy, family a little bummed and stay (gasp!!):scared1: without changing from WL!! I'm torn. Also waiting to see if rates drop for FLA/Passholders in Aug in that it might be cheaper than free dindaniing to stay at WL/Cont.

Have you priced out the curent room only offer code and then add on dining??? Just a thought...:surfweb: maybethat would save some $$$ Definitely keep us posted

dani Thanks sis..I thought it was allergies, but I haven't gotten ny sleep so.....ugh! Need to take better care.darn that pre vacation OT :furious: I'll be happy with my paycheck though!!

magic Thank you!!! My surprise I have only shared with my DIS friends & family  So excited!!! And SO ready for my family vacation ::yes::

Jeanette YAY for family vacations!!! :yay:

 I really need some beach time with my kiddos....and warm weather. took some meds and will attempt a nap now  then off to infect my coworkers tonight....that's what they get for not letting me switch...:furious:

Pas130- Have you priced out the curent room only offer code and then add on dining??? Just a thought... maybethat would save some $$$ Definitely keep us posted

AHHHHH! Now I'm more confused!

Magic you way w/ Dining
WLWV $2943-more than the rate I have now for the same thing!!
C-TPV- $3641- $200 less than free dining!!
BC-SCL- $3261- Less than C-for club level!!!!!
I;m so torn!!! I LOVE Club Level!- Who doesn't? I just don't think we need CL and the dining plan- and I'm not letting go of the dining plan. I actually have not stayed at BC but I have at YC. Love the pool!!! I might feel a change coming on!

You and HRH will get your weekend the GF. You two both need and deserve it. She is a special girl and you are a special Mommy. When you get there in a few weeks check the great BB offer.

Grumpy Grandma, how fun you spent the day at DL with your daughter. :cloud9:

Jennyjinx3, how long are you going to be at WDW in September? We are arriving for 10 days on 9/17. We will be at the BC. It would be fun to cross paths!

MouseMommy1,:cake: Happy 8th Birthday to your daughter!

Minnie&Nanna, celebrating your 65th birthday at AoA sounds right to me, after all you are young at heart!!!

DisneyDreamin247, the strawberries sound like a wonderful surprise. I know it seems like forever until your trip, but it will be here before you know it!!

LuvLuvLuv, benedryl and chocolate covered strawberries! You are a girl after my own heart! You must be sooo excited. Have a wonderful trip :goodvibes

WDWKOOK, I think your anniversary night at FW makes a lot of sense. You can prime the water with the pump, heat the water over the fire that you start with two sticks, to rinse off and sleep on a murphy bed. :confused3 That sounds so much nicer than CL at the WL (at this point you should be detecting a note of sarcasm in my tone)...DO NOT DO IT!!!

We are arriving Sept 12 for 10 days...just got my MNSSHP tickets for the 18th this morning!!:cool1:

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!

Ahhhh I'm overwhelmed with love today :grouphug: Thank you all for thinking of me!!

Work has been amazing!! The entire lobby is decorated, I have cards and presents everywhere, and also donuts and pizza!! Today is fantastic, and I love all the wonderful people I'm surrounded with!!

Lots and Lots and Lots to do at work today---then packing party!! DH is feeling anxious like we're running out of time, but I know it'll all be done! I'm going to get a few things done here, then I'll be back to party a bit!!

Love you girls!! :lovestruc

Happy Birthday to you!!:goodvibes Sounds like a great day at work!!:thumbsup2

:rotfl: Hope you feel better soon!!!

Beach time is always good! :cool1: Hope you are getting some rest .... feel better.

Thanks for being here my new RC friends...had a rough couple of days. Not feeling like myself, really overtired and drained, MIL going through some heart testing, (we are estranged from her :() , DH is stressed, we are snappy with eachother....UGH!!!:worried:

But I am thankful to have my Disney planning and you guys to brighten my day! Just catching up with you all is a pick me up!! Life is good, just need to snap out of this funk...and get back to normal!::yes::

Aww Jenny ~ feel better!!! Everyone has down days. I hope all works out with your MIL.

so sorry to hear that, Jenny! It's hard and stressful on families when there is strife, I hope things settle down and get back to normal for you. We are here to listen and support  whenever you feel the need to vent or share just come where you know we care :) ( :rotfl: tried to make Dr Suess type rhyme there, :rotfl:) we are here for you always!

IPO was on the ball and just ordered my MNSSHP tickets for Sept 30 :cool1: only thing is I had to write and ask them to refund me the shipping charge, I'd prefer to pick them up in person and save the shipping fee. We will see if they get back to me and are able to reverse that fee.

Just for fun, I priced with the new 30% off deluxe deal.....WOW! :faint: I am thinking FD is the best deal for us this year.....the 30% off room code makes our package $6200.....$1200 more than my FD discount! I think we will be sticking with FD this trip!

UPDATE: well, IPO just got back to me and I can't pick my tickets up there, they have to mail them to me....the only way I could do that was to do will call but that can only be done two weeks prior to my arrival.....by then I chance my date being sold out, so I just told them to go ahead and mail them :p.....on a positive note, that's the last thing down for plans....now it's only saving my last 2k and waiting for the big day to arrive :)

PAS/ Jeanette: wooHoo! :) yeah for GF for HRH! that's GREAT news! I'll definitely text you when I arrive :) I tried looking at the room discounts, but they didn't work out better for us....FD is still our best discount as of now :p

FEEL BETTER SOON, JEANETTE AND HIPPY, HOPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DEENA!!!!!!!

And still no AP rates....
And more time to think and rethink---
to review: thinking CSR 5n (prefered) and BC 3n.

Have never stayed at either... or CSR for all 8 nights.

Making pros and cons list...BC is close to DHS and Epcot but walking to DHS in August heat---- or rain, not so crazy about that... But would save time taking buses to Epcot/DHS....

Or can just stay at WL for all 8nights for a little less than the CSR/.BC split.
It is dd (18) and me... and at WL there are balconies and many quiet areas to get a time out from each other...
I know where those quiet places are at WL....
I am sure BC has some... but CSR has no balconies and have to walk out in open (walkways not covered...) to get to main bldg...

MAKING MYSELF NUTS! and dh isn't thrilled I am taking dd so cannot whine to him and she is still at college...

:hippie:Jill
With the whole trip at WL, you can also hide-out at FW;). I'd pick all 8 nights at WL.

:lmao:Oh, you're hilarious, JC!

Well, I think I'm detecting some FW Cabin hostility here:rolleyes1. I think you've made your utter disdain for my cabin idea quite clear:worried:. But, I've come full circle here - from RPC to the cabins! Does Discovery Island have an old cage or hut left for booking?:hyper:

My thoughts exactly!! :rotfl:Why stay WL CL when you could have all of the above! :confused3
Yeesh, I think you and JC are in cahoots. So no split stay? 13 nights WL/CL? That's your final answer?

I DID IT !!! I WILL GET MY BABY TO RPC FOR HER BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!
You aren't gonna get a FWC....but this made me :rotfl: DH knows you won't separate him from his cobbler.....;) And I love you too....we will figure something out...that doesn't involve you & DH hiding in the Bathroom while DD sleeps...not that I'd ever heard of that being done :rolleyes1

I am cracking up today....thank you...you and Kook..and I caught a horrible cold..so I need it....that murphy bed SO uncomfotable...and only 1 bathroom for her DD............:(

Between you and JC, it's a LOL afternoon for me - thank you guys for being hilarious:grouphug:, but on a serious note, teenage girls don't like to go to bed early, but they do take REALLY long showers - just sayin':rolleyes1

You've got it all wrong, DD would get the Murphy and DH and I would have the cabin's master suite:snooty:. DH is open to staying almost anywhere (but AKL) for four nights, as long as there are 9 nights of cobbler...

HRH has no idea what you've been up to and it's going to be a fabulous surprise - congrats!!!!!

We prefer the CR's BLV over MKV, so if you did that it would save you some money. But, a BLV room at the CR is the same price as WL/CL room. So if I had to choose, I'd pick the WL/CL room over the CR's non-CL BLV. Why would DH be bummed to stay at WL? They have cobbler and FW next door!

75 days out and....

~I find myself wavering again~ Oh, what to do, what to do....:surfweb:
Oh, no you don't! What are you wavering about:confused:. Remember how content and happy you were over WL?

*peeks in* :tiptoe:

(Didn't see the thread on the front page when I logged in earlier but I found you, muahahaha! LuvLuvLuv found me before I found you guys. :thumbsup2)

I couldn't bring myself to drool over Disney when I was under the impression we weren't going to be paying a visit to the Mouse this year. Hence my long, long hiatus from you crazy lot. I'd have driven myself insane with sadness. Now? Now I can drive myself even more batty with planning... :hyper: Just saw the September discounts and here I am! The hubs? He's just resigned to it now. We've been talking about going again but we weren't going to go without a room-only. The Gods of Mouse heard my pleas for a discount... ;) Hello, hello, hello and waves to all. :goodvibes

I'm going to book something tonight. Yes, yes I am. Though, I'm torn between the YC and the BC because we just don't want to give up our dips in SAB. Only 4 nights in September since the kiddo will be starting kindergarten in August. We loved BC last year but thought perhaps the serenity of YC would be nice? *bites nails* (Thanks Luv on your YC review!)

YC-CL or BC-CL... oh boy, oh boy. *bites nails more*

Most important edit: :bday: to the YC expert, LuvLuvLuv!

Oh, no you don't! What are you wavering about:confused:. Remember how content and happy you were over WL?

I was looking at....Beach Club...again.

I am just getting worried that I might not get a renovated room at WL, which I really would want.

I know I like the decor at BC.

I'm so confused!!!!!!

But, you're guaranteed not to get a rehabbed room at BC and you might not even have a balcony, and it costs more and it's not WL:worried:

Good afternoon, RCers!

Just got the school calendar for 2012-13 and it doesn't match Disney value season as much as I'd like - darn! But it's exciting to get those dates for January/February 2013 in place!

Pas, feel better!

Luv, sending more b-day wishes on this thread, too!

Chimo, yay for MNSSHP! Our boys really want to go some year - that parade looks like tons of fun and they love villains. It's one of my imaginary trips - in that one, we try CR and then move to an Epcot resort for one night after the party.

Hi again missoutandabout! Long post on the BC/YC thread about that - won't repeat here. Good luck with your decision!

Mousemommy, you know what I think, so I suppose comment is not necessary! But having stayed at WL many times, Poly many times and BC many times (and enjoying all of them), I'd recommend either Poly or BC for many reasons, including the fact that they both reduce reliance on buses.

We will definitely return to WL someday because I'm really excited about the renovations and I now know that a deluxe room will accomodate our family of five. But of course, it will be part of a split stay with an Epcot resort. Think you can use your discount for BC now and swing WL for a future trip when you know the renovation will be complete? If not, there is always the split stay . . .

I know...I actually called twice this afternoon to change and then couldn't do it. My heart is with WL...

See, it's funny, ones of the things I LOVE about WL is that we still get buses to all the parks. I like the buses, the wonderful air conditioned buses. ::yes::
