I am going to Rochester as my Mom has surgery tomorrow ... meant to post yesterday, but time got away from me. She is having a masectomy but the good news is that is is stage one, so we are all staying very positive.

Say prayers for her .... she is a strong lady and will get thru this I know. I will be staying until Sunday, but I will MOST definitely find WiFI so I can get on the DIS so I can be connected with you all.

I miss being on the boards as much, and will check in when I can.

Not avoiding. I never let other peoples changes or opinions influence my descisions. I am perfectly capable of changing on my ownIve been following the changes. I'm interested to see where you all end up. I have a feeling none of you are done. 5 more hours of work today. 12 hours tomorrow and I'm off for 3 weeks. Then I can start the process all over again when I get back.I'm on break eating a plate of french fries. I was trying so hard to be good before vacation. I will give you my thoughts when I return.

Kook I agree with you on the fries. They're my weakness when it comes to unhealthy food. The last day of work before vacation is always a great day. It may not go fast, but it will be good.

Mousemommy I'm not sure I believe you.

Pixarmom We will be at the BW Saturday. No not club level. It wasn't available. There were no discounted rooms available at the BW this weekend until recently. I have had Cm's tell me when people cancel discounted rooms go back into general inventory. I don't believe this. I have always had good luck getting discounted rooms if I'm persistant.

Chimo It's only been a year since my last stay at Poly. I'm sure it will be fabulous as always. I still haven't met a deluxe resort I wouldn't stay at again. I like some more than others, but I would stay at any of them depending on the circumstance.

Momjkm I like choice number 2. I think the BC is a good choice for August. I prefer CSR over Pofq. The new orleans theme does nothing for me. Mexico on the other hand.

Janet I hope everything goes well. My mom had a masectomy 18 years ago. She was only 50. They caught it early. She's had no problems at all.

PasWl/BC split. I've done that one before. I will never believe your done.

Jenny Aps are great. 37 days at WdW in one year, and I'm actually excited to go back. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't change anything. Poly in May. BW and BC in October. WL and BC in December and now my 3 favorites POLY/BW and a new one YC.

I wasn't that excited about the trip until recently. Now that it's here I can't wait. I may book a BB for October just in case. There is no risk with a R/o reservation. Right? The ""45 day rule" packages are not the best for someone like me. Especially when you are booking multiple resorts. I was able to sweet talk them out of a couple of change fees. I think guest services is going to have a party when my Ap's expire.

Mousemommy, the possibilities ARE endless! Our APs are intended to cover our recent trip and our week-long trip in February 2013. I won't admit how much planning I've done for my imaginary trips in between! (But I will say that one currently involves Poly, CR and YC.)

I'm an expert on imaginary trips! Any imaginary dates to throw out?? We'll be there August 18....

Two scenarios, would you:

Get AP in Sept for our 9 night trip, go back in early Feb 2013, and then last week or so of August 2013

or

Get AP for a May 2013 trip, go back early December 2013?

I am not familiar with when Disney offers AP resort discounts, or going at these times of year, as we have always gone in Sept / Oct so far. Any opinions?? Thanks!

There. I said it. I mean it.

I got the "feeling" today...you know, that "I'm going to Disney soon" feeling, and I got sooooo excited!!! In all of this planning, and changing, and stressing about making this trip perfect....I forgot about the most important thing...I'm going back to Disney!!!!

Hmmm....I remember someone making a change after a pinky swear ... so anything is possible!

During the trips with my son (then 11yr and 12yrs old) my dd was 14 and 15 yr old and was happy I wasn't making her go to DIsney... I have actually found I have a much better time with one child at a time (whether it is disney or virginia beach or Cali last summer- took DD for HS grad present).

SO after dd and I's trip to Southern Cali which included Disneyland, she is like why didn't you make me go to WDW before? cause you were a miserable teenager and didn't want to ???


OK-- so her and I are going in August- 8 nights most likely. Will fly in early, fly out late on our last day.

I am waiting for summer AP rates so making myself extra nuts cause they aren't out.

My options
1) 8nights at either CSR, POFQ, or POR (which I remember from 13 yrs ago as being very pretty). A perk for POFQ or POR is the boat to DTD... shopping Cheaper than options 2 and 3 but then extra money for things I have never done like the Luau and CRT....

2) Or a split stay: one of those moderates and then Beach Club for 3 days. DHS and Epcot being so close will be nice. And Stormalong Bay. But is moving all our stuff going to be a pain? I can't swing BC $$ for the whole time..

3) WL for the whole 8 nights.... Inside rooms (I like) Balcony nice but in August not used as much as it would be in like October or March---

Any and all input welcome

! Tough choices ... I like the split of POR or FQ with BC for you and DD ... there are certainly some expert Split RCers on the thread that can pass on some pointers for a successful split stay! Think being close to DTD and Epcot/DHS will be perfect for the two of you ... lots of TS at Epcot for an evening stroll in.

Thank you everyone for your positive thoughts and prayers!! My mom is strong and a positive person herself. She caught her cancer this time and 2 years ago (breast cancer - not the same kind this time). Her surgery is scheduled for 10:30 am ... I really appreciate my RC family being with my in spirit - so thank you!

Padawans: SO happy to hear your Mom licked the big "C"!

Marie: I will continue saying prayers for your friend.

Should be sleeping by wanted to check in with you all (was able to tap into some "free" internet from the neighbors - yeah!)

I had tried to find my original post on the RC thread (two threads ago ) because it represents a full circle back to basics...I know I had switched to WL at first and then POLY/BC/WL became a huge jumble....it became quite comical....

I am settled on WL, though I will not confirm nor deny whether I thought about the Poly again last night (that place). It didn't help that Uncle Sam sent us our $$$ back yesterday that "he was borrowing" as padawans put it

It was darn near a whole months salary for both DH and I combined!!! Do you know what kind of Disney dreams can be made with that?!?!
Alas, I will be taking a trip to the bank to deposit it into the savings account...for now...

Two weeks ago I found out a friend had a type of fast growing lung cancer which had spread to her liver, bones and brain. She passed early Sunday morning....she was one of those people who made everyone feel special and is missed so very much.

Disney really is an all encompassing beast. The time before my trip will fly by, especially since I'll be spending a lot of the summer down the shore. We're heading down for Memorial Day weekend and almost 2 weeks for the 4th of July. It's a good thing I just invested in a ton of sunscreen.

I am hoping my time flies by!!!! But, we have LOTS going on up until D-day (Disney day!!), starting with this weekend....on Saturday, we are hosting a sleepover for 7 girls (incl my girls) for my daughters 8th birthday... She turns 8 on Monday, oh how the time flies!!! Then, we have a million camp registrations to complete (and pay for ), then we have DH BF wedding on July 6th which my DDs and DH are all in, so there's lots going on with that. I can't believe that once we are at that wedding, it will only be 9 days until our trip!!!!!

My good friend who is down at Disney right now (the one that got moved to the RR) just texted me a bunch of pics from the Poly...gorgeous pics from the Poly...they are there this morning for breakfast...she even went so far as to get a CM to open a room for her to take pics of it for me....I am truly hating her right now....

Yesterday I priced Sugarloaf instead of YC, but realized I wanted to be on the Epcot side for 2 days with Stormalong Bay. This morning I called to see if, by chance, the honeymoon suite was available at Poly. It wasn't, and that's a good thing--it would have been an extra $278, and I wouldn't have had the strength to say no to the Tonga building. I am officially done -- I'm not even making view changes. This is the tour of the Garden Views around the world! I haven't started packing yet--there's so much to do, that I keep putting it off. Maybe I'll make a list today.

Padawans: Have a great last day at work! I see that you snuck BWI in there... I don't remember that--but I would like to hear how you compare it to YC. I can't wait to compare notes about Poly and YC with you!!
