Chimo and MM 2 nights at CSR/4nights HRH/5 Poly/5 YC.

I know it's a bit wacky, but when you've been a lot you've got to get creative to make it interesting. I could not afford 2 more nights at Poly Cl or Yc Cl so a standard room at Akl, Wl or CSR were my choices. I kind of want to try CSR again. It's such a great price with a discount. I really need to find some less expensive resorts I like if I'm going to do the Ap thing again.

A month ago my DH was talking about doing other things. Now he's talking about AP's and Food and wine festival this October. He has either become a secret Disney addict or he is trying to motivate me to keep working full time. We'll see how he feels after this trip. He hates waiting in lines. This new fast pass policy could be a challenge.

That's why I think once a year is good...it's enough time to get excited again. We've actually probably averaged every 15 months...that's why I don't think I'll do Oct, despite our AP's...the AP was a great value for this trip and the one that we'll take next April, I can live with that.

It's a great pool for boys. Yeah I think I'm going to stick with it. I need to save some money somewhere.

As far as October. My bank account will determine that. Of course I want to go. I always want to go even when I'm sick of the parks I still want to go. It's a vacation after all. Right?

After much deliberating, some spreadsheets and a few charts , we have decided to stick with our original plan. I know, so anti-climatic! Because we are still a stroller family, DH pointed out that at least for this year we should stay where we are for convenience (and love of course ).

There will be plenty of time when we are sans stroller to branch out right???
I will keep checking in here with you ladies though!

Hi, everyone!

Thanks for the heads up about the new thread, Jeanette!

Well, here we are with a new thread & I already have a change to report!

Instead of arriving in WDW on Sat, 9/29 we are now getting there on the Friday, 9/28. And instead of spending that 1 night at Boardwalk, we are now spending the first two nights at POFQ. We will then move to OKW on Sun, 9/30 until 10/7.

And......while my DH is still signed up to run the ToT 10 mile race, I have registered to do the 5k race! This should be interesting!

Danimal is home and doing wonderful. I made him Lipton noodle soup and he ate a small bowl. I also made a Gatorade slushie in Slushie Msgic (a present delivered while he was in the hospital) and he got to have a "treat" in his new toy. He kept everything down and went to bed nice and early. In so overjoyed to have all my babies with me. I only have to work tomorrow and then I'll be home for 4 days.

BTW- Slushie Magic is freakin AWESOME. We are gettin another one this weekend because it's the coolest thing ever. I really didn't expect it to work at all.

I don't think I'll be changing anything. My whole gang is all do stoked for their 13 night Poly CL stay. Why mess with perfection?

I am not ashamed to admit 407 W-Disney is on my cell phone contact list.

Bell services can move your bags, but you may not get them until 4pm or later. I'm a little on the anxious side and don't trust all that Maybe I'll try it this time and see how it goes, I've just always found it easier to call the cab and know all my stuff is with me and accessible to me!!

Ok....I need help!!!

We are going to Disney Aug. 9-15. It will be me, my DH, my 6 year old DD, and our almost 3 year old DS.

We have been to Disney many times.....but have only stayed at value or CSR. Last June my DD and I went to CSR and LOVED it!!! We loved the room...the beds were so comfy, the wooden sliding doors were AWESOME, we had good location to the great pool, and the bus stop.....we had a very nice time!

This time...I first booked CSR, but then saw with the discount we could stay at AKL for $500 more so decided to stay there. But now I'm having second thoughts.

I think I'm really going to miss the sliding door from the vanity/bedroom area. That was so great....I could get ready while DD slept...and now with my 2 year old who will nap everyday....it would be nice to be able to get ready while he naps. I've also heard AKL rooms are quite crowded and not a lot of storage. I though CSR rooms were pretty spacey. And I haven't heard the best about AKL's bus stop....we had good luck at CSR except a few times which I know can happen anywhere.

I'm just really confused. Are we really going to like AKL that much better...or should we just go back to CSR?!?!?!

We stayed at CSR about 5 years ago. We've stayed at AKL a couple of times since. I'm not sure it's easy to compare the two, they are very different resorts. I don't think there is much difference in the size of the rooms.

You know the pluses of CSR, so I'll try to give you a better picture of AKL.
AKL is a unique experience to me. I love the pool, I think the nearby flamingos are funny. I like to wander around the resort, see the animals from the various viewing areas.

Restaurants--Saana is at Kidani. We enjoyed the food. They have floor to the ceiling windows that look out on the savanna.
Boma--yummy, lots of great things to try. kid friendly items on the buffet, too.
Jiko--our favorite Signature, hands down.

Whatever you choose, you're on vacation! Happy planning!!

Hello Resort Changers!

Congratulations on closing yet another thread and opening up a new chapter in your resort changing lives! LOL

We're booked at the Poly, and seeing as this will be our last trip to Disney World for a long time, I keep chanting the mantra: I will not change, I will not change, I will not change, LOL.

I still haven't told Mr. Hyde that I've got our hotel booked and bought our airfare though. I'm holding out until I find out if he's going to deploy or not. Could be scary.

I think this is way I never really finished pg.1 on our last thread.....we are too busy So this is my sad, sad attempt to catch up....got out of work 3 hours late...I was supposed to be in charge til 11pm...
punched out 221am....then get home to fing out DMIL stopped by and decided to tag along (haven't heard boo for months from her) AND DH can't take her snoring soooooooooo I booked Pop for her...she gets her own room, paid in full, and downtime from us, but gets to enjoy the trip too...win, win, we'll see if she still wants to come Am I a crappy DIL for booking POP...be honest...I can't afford another GF/Poly room.UGH!

Hi J Just wanted to say hello and hope all is well with you and your family. I see you are at our beloved GF RPC. You go girl. Oh how I miss it there so much. I can't wait until the construction is done so we can come back home. I will be gazing at the GF from CR (surprise two night stay TPV CL for our DS16) and then off to BLT for 6 nights. I told my DH that I wasn't changing our ressie any more. So far for at least 10 days now I haven't changed it again.Don't think I will anymore.

Nice to see you...as always!!!!! RPC will miss you, but you know I get it!!!!! I finally feel solid with GF...I HAVE TO BE THERE!!!

Pas Its nice of you to work OT for your Dh. I don't know how you do it. One of the docs asked me why I wasn't my normal smiling, loud,(loud who knew?), and talkative self.....uh that was me when I was working part-time. My full- time self is quiet, tired, and grumpy.

I'm sure when I feel that tropical air and have my first Mai tai I'll be in full vacation mode. It's all good.

My dh got the 2 additional days off I wanted. I booked.....well I have booked several resorts. Ok only 5 changes in the last 3 days. Currently at Csr. I think it went something like BW/BC/WL/AKL/CSR in that order. I think I'm done......or maybe not....I would put my money on not.

That's why we haven't seen you...too busy changing...so HRH, CSR, poly, YC now.....a drink with an umbrella will snap u out of the full time funk (at least I'm hoping it will for me)

Welcome to the RC thread!!!!!! never stayed CSR, LOVED AKL, we had a car and it was a resort only trip...no parks...it is a beautiful resort...we can help you here.....at AKL you'll have a balcony...quiet time...just sayin....

Jenny: Going full-circle is a RC trend. It's all good, and having the monorail will be fabulous with the strollers!

Wow, 2:21... Then to find out your DMIL wants to come along...so here is my very honest 2 cents:
1. If she invited herself why isn't she paying?
2. Unless you really don't want her to go at all, putting her over a POP is, well....I mean you all are at GF & Poly and she is alone at POP? What about FQ? It is a very pretty resort, has the boat to DTD...but POP doesn't sit well with me...and PLEASE do not take offense to my being honest, okay? I love you and know it is not easy for her to decide to come along.

Gee, I didn't see the Royal Room suggestion...alas, too over the top for me and if I am paying that much, then might as well try to swing WL or rent points. I am kind of depressed today b/c cannot even make a ressie until June and it never feels real until a resort is booked. Get out the violins, I know!!

Pas I think I'm going to keep working full time. I have gotten used to the money, and I like my vacations. My dh and my kids like my vacations. I'll just take a day off when I need it. I work Tues/Wed/Sat. Not so bad. I obviously have plenty of time to make changes.

JanetI thought about doing CSR/POLY/HRH and then back at YC. That would really screw up ADR's though. I like the idea of having a Disney break in the middle. The best vacation is Disney/cruise/Disney. Someday.

Hi Casey! Nice to "see" you here ... don't worry, not telling DHs about certain RCs is not a new thing around here, so we can just extend that to not telling DHs about trips. . It's such a small thing after all! And hopefully your DH will not be deployed. ..

PAS you are a great DIL!!! I'm sure you wish you could book her GF, but an offer of coming along with all expenses paid, well i would be happy staying anywhere! Besides, POP is a fun resort, the kids could visit (and perhaps one or two might want to stay with Grandma overnight??) She has her separate space which is a good thing for all!!
