You could do both because it would be separate reservations...your nights at the Poly would be with your room only discount and your nights at AOA would be free dining. What she should have meant is that the discounts cannot be combined, so one discount at each resort. Poly with room discount. AOA with Free dining. You'll just have to meet the required number of nights and min tkt purchase for the FD at AOA.

Is that what you wanted? If so, call back because that CM did not understand.

Yes that is it, but how would it work with our tickets? We currently have a 10 day with our pkg. If we have to buy say a 4 day and a 6 day it really isn't worth it is it?

Maybe we should just do the family suites...the Finding Nemo ones look like they are in a good location near the main hall.

The CM I was talking to seemed to not know much of anything...maybe just an off day for him?

A little late but I am here too! My head hurts, just got off the phone with disney, trying to figure out how we could do a split stay Poly / AOA but the CM made it seem like such a big deal.

What I got from the conversation was that we cannot combine our room discount at the Poly with Free dining at AOA. And DH had just given me the go ahead to do a split stay!!

He wanted to do Poly first and then 2 rooms Little Mermaid. Boo hoo...should I call back or is this plan not going to work?

As Christine stated, you can absolutely do this! But on 2 ressies.

Jenny You can purchase all your tickets up front with the AoA package (I would stay AoA first, then move to the Poly.)

Disney does allows you to get your tix early (up to 3 days early?), so I do not know if this will impact you or not on how you book your split stay if you really wanted the Poly first. Just a thought.

AoA/Poly sounds awesome!!!

And as far as the CM not being on top of things ... well, that's why we politely say, thanks, hang up and call again!!

Call back. You can't combine the discounts, but they are 2 separate reservations....room discount will probably be bettert for Poly, then use FD for AoA...Good luck!!!

I need a resort for December so I have something to change.

Pas, when our RC November trip didn't work out and we had our January dates set, I ask Mia if she could get some afternoons off the wk of December 9th - Sophia will be in preschool mornings, so a trip will be doable for me. Rosie was able to go, so for the first time since 1997 I will be there longer than 3 or 4 ngts!

BUT....get out the violins and hankies...I cannot afford a deluxe.
I am trying not to face the sad reality, but I'll have to...have considered renting points, but would only want BWV and my friend, who rents points to me at $11 cannot book BWV until June, so chances would be slim BWV would be available.

Where will I stay???? HELP!!

Tkts would be the problem for sure....I think there is a way around that, but not sure...used to be you could pick up tkts early, but not sure of that is still possible. I have to run right now, but hopefully someone will in the know answer soon. Hope it all works out!!

Jenny: No. The AoA FD package is a completely different ressie (RO and pkg are not combined). Make your FD pkg and then have the days taken off the Poly to correspond with the date you will be moving over from AoA. It's very simple really!

Ok...this is just a scenario...but if I were to say, change my whole entire trip to The Wilderness Lodge and have them take the money from the Poly ressie and apply it to the WL ressie so that it's paid off, and there would be an overpayment...would they refund that to me, or hold it as a credit??? A credit would be kind of cool, because its like $$ in the "bank" for when we get there...

Janet, she would have to pay almost double for tkts that way...she is trying to figure out how not to have to pay for the big first 4 days of tkts again. She understands it is 2 different ressies - it was the CM who didn't get it...must have been a newbie.

In the past, guests could pick up tkts early even with a package...I am thinking it would be good to put in a call to guest services and see what they recommend - ya never know if a caller will get a very experienced CM who would have the correct answer.

Christine, in my earlier post I let Jenny know to purchase all the tix up front that she needed with the FD package, which is why I suggested she stay at AoA first (it's easier). She can puchase the 10 day tix on the FD package, then have the use of the tix for when she moves to the RO poly ressie.

How about last 4 days room only Poly...OOP for meals. This way you don't have to buy more tix...

Not quite...you cannot add dining to the Poly without tkts...Poly would have to be room only discount, no dining added. Just noticed you want to upgrade to AP when you arrive...then make the Poly ressie with an AP discount (have to wait until those are released) and then you can add dining!

Is Disney now offering FD for AOA Family Suites? My understanding it is only for the std rooms. You can check by trying to book on line and seeing if it allows you to do so...
