Me too...BUT when she goes with my DBIL and his family, they set her up nicely (they have the $$$ to do it though) I want to keep DH happy, well everyone happy

christine You're right...we casually were vacation talking Xmas and HRH invited her....Feb. she said no go....then she found out end of May and said maybe....understand, when she divorced I bought a new house so she would have a place to stay....she made many promises to help with $$$, babysitting, and I didn't get anything except more laundry to do, and more food to buy. It ended badly, but we worked it out, I love her, but it's all about her..sorry you wait til last minute.....ugh. maybe time to look at OKW again

Pas I think I'm going to keep working full time. I have gotten used to the money, and I like my vacations. My dh and my kids like my vacations. I'll just take a day off when I need it. I work Tues/Wed/Sat. Not so bad. I obviously have plenty of time to make changes.

Me too....me too.....it's easier for me to work Summer since I don't have to get up at 630am.....and that's the thing..you get used to the $$$

PAS you are a great DIL!!! I'm sure you wish you could book her GF, but an offer of coming along with all expenses paid, well i would be happy staying anywhere! Besides, POP is a fun resort, the kids could visit (and perhaps one or two might want to stay with Grandma overnight??) She has her separate space which is a good thing for all!!

We'll see her take.... Just wish I found out before extending our trip...it'll be fine....it will..won't it????

Am I a crappy DIL for booking POP...be honest...I can't afford another GF/Poly room.UGH!

I have CRO in my phone, but I always dial it out of habit. DH thinks it's funny that I have YC-IPO in my phone from last time. I knew I'd need them again

I got a daytime brace, a night time brace, Diclofenac which I'm not sure about--it's making me kind of tired and nauseated--I would have preferred Vicoden, but that won't help the inflammation. Anyone know anything about it? We're going to wait until I find out on Tuesday when we're closing to make decisions on treatment. If it's May 1--then I'll be able to rest it soon. If June 1, he's afraid I won't make it that long and will need surgery when it's all over. He also bumped up my anxiety meds which I had a feeling was going to happen.

I'm glad Danimal is home!! I was looking at the slushie thing at BBB the other day... may have to invest!!

It's an anti-inflammatory a very strong one. Take it with food. If you are prone to tummy trouble...not a great med for you. But unlike Vicodin, you won't build a tolerance to it, so it's a good thing....June 1st isa LONG TIME TO WAIT!!!!!

Pas: I remembered the history on MIL ... Sweetie, you are a wonderful giving person, who works hard and needs a vacation, and should be able to take it where you and the family desires ... MIL has a not so good history with trips, and honestly, I stand by what I said to have her at POP and it is the best economically for you. Maybe she can contribute the extra $$ to stay at a mod? You know she could easily cancel no matter where you have her booked ... then you would have changed your resort for nothing. And, with having the car, DH can drive her back occasionally to the resort.

Happy Friday 13th everyone Well today DH and I were wistfully realizing that 9 nights at the Poly will mean no "love" for us the whole time we are at Disney!! Oh well, the "magic" makes up for it I guess!

Now I just have to convince him that we need a date night out when we are there. We had one last trip and sent the girls to the Neverland Club, they loved it. Sooo...seeing that it is our 10th anniversary, and I would be less anxious this time about leaving them, I can't quite figure out why he is not into it.

Oh well, I will keep working on him. We are thinking of coming back in May and getting AP's then, then going again early December. Does this make more sense then getting AP's in September?

Jenny It makes sense to buy Ap's next year if your not going this Dec. If you can swing a trip this Dec than I would buy the Ap's in August. You would get three trips out of them. It's going to cost us close to 3000 to get Ap's again next year. I won't do it unless I know for sure I can make multiple trips. I want to get the most out of my investment.

Personally, I think if you have two lengthy trips planned, you will get your use out of the AP's. For instance, we got them because we have two 10 night trips planned within a one year period (July and next April). Granted, we got a great deal so our passe for my fam of four were only $1928. But, if we were to buy 2 sets of 10 day hoppers, even from UT or AAA if would have cost well above that, especially after a ticket price increase. We are going to get a great deal for our money.

And as for the babysitter....YES!!! You should do it! We are doing it for the first time in July (because its our 10 yr anniversary too) and the girls are so excited...but we are going to use Sandcastle club during the BC portion of our stay. You should go for it.

OMG!!!! Jeanette, I do not know the whole story, but I feel this is wrong...you are sooooooo nice to do this, but you can't have someone jump in at the last minute and destroy your plans!!! I mean,

We are taking DFIL in April, and he is so excited, but he does a lot for us and the kids. We were discussing resorts the other day and showing pics and DH kept pushing AKL and I kept talking about how expensive it would be (our intentions are to pay for everything...but we have to get two rooms). He actually likes the look of POFQ more, which is hilarious, and he's going to contribute $2k to the trip and said there's nothing we can do about it. I don't know where we'll end up but I'm no millionaire, so we'll stay in two rooms we can afford...but with DFIL generosity...it may be AKL...

Awww my heart breaks for you! I know some people say, hey you're in Disney...that's what matters, but I truly think the resort often is a big piece of the overall contentment and happiness of ones vacation. You are so sweet and giving to put everyone ahead of yourself at the expense of your own happiness....So sad DMIL sprung this "add on" so close to your trip, but you are definitely an amazing person to change everything so close for the betterment of the whole group. That is definitely hard....I feel your pain......I hope there is a quick trip back so you don't have to wait too long to have your dream! I know how long and hard you planned to make this perfect. On a happy note, I saw you said you may be thinking a sept 28 trip for you and HRH.... I'd love to meet for a poly fruity drink / and perhaps a magical wishes beach viewing if your calendar will permit while we are both there!
I hope your DMIL realizes the sacrifice you made and appreciates it

Oh Pas ... Have never been to SSR, and I'm sure they are many great things about it, but I know your heart is not at this resort. WOOOHOOO!!! That sounds great! I'd love to meet for a drink at POLY I have all day off on Sept 30th because it ismy planned MNSSHP day, and I've booked us a Cabana at the pool to relax the afternoon away sept 28 is our arrival day, we are checking in and having dinner at Cali Grill that night at 7:45.... Sept 29 is our KONA breakfast then heading to AK for the day.....coming back for dinner at OHANA at 7 pm, that might bea good night to meet on the beach for wishes/ a drink let me know what works best for you....either way I'm there! I amso happy you and your kiddos will be getting a trip in Oct. That will help ease the sting a little, I hope......you are a very selfless person, and I am happy to call you my friend we appreciate you!!!!
