GrumpyGrandma: Interesting about your DH's cream. My MOHS was surgically removing 1 layer of tissue/skin at a time and then checking margins for cancer. Long & tedious. It is usually done on the face or other prominent area of the body so as to not disfigure. ...On a happy note: How awesome that your GS is doing the CP at POP! Did you mention to WDWKOOK that the AoA gift shop sound positively rockin'!????

My lifelong friend Tracy, who lives in Orlando for the past 20 years now, would always ask me, “Why Dis?” Because after her kids were over the age of 10 they were strictly a US/IoA family and thought that I was the wacky one!!! So I do hear what you are saying a lot here from locals about preferring US/IoA. ...Anyway, I enjoyed your TR and I am glad the pas-clan had a wonderful trip. Is Florida's west coast calling you again this year for your August trip??? Maybe Siesta Key, Lido, Longboat, or Anna Maria???

Yes since this was cancerous they had to sugically remove it just like they did with yours .... he was in and out two times and then they had it all. They rushed to do it since it was so fast growing. The doctors give him the cream to burn off the pre-cancerous cells.

Yes .... happy note! My GS is loving his CP stay. I may have to make a ticker change to add a day or two to my Oct stay so I can experience AoA myself!

Yay for vacation!!!!

I tell ya, I have taken very little time off since Thanksgiving so that I have enough time saved up for our Disney vacation....but I did a real good job, because I saved up 4 weeks!!! I get 6 for the year. That being said, I cannot wait until 6/29!!!! When my babies and I will be on a plane to MD to see my mom and my new nephew! I am ready for some time off now, and July will deliver!!!! I'm so psyched!!!

We don't talk much with my DHs sisters either...not really sure why, we get along fine...just 100s of miles of apart. Kinda sad. I tell him all the time that he needs to pick up the phone and call, but he doesn't.

Thanks! We're doing the 5 night Dream...AKL first, then cruise. Over Spring Break I spent the week downloading templates, putting them on Photobucket, then adding names, etc....took forever!!!! But fun, too. We will be celebrating my mom's and DS10s b-day, so I found the mickey ballons. I have ribbon that I will attach to the bottoms when we get on the ship...or maybe I'll do it today....getting sidetracked once more!! My favorite magnet is the Dis magnet. After looking on the cruise boards, some people go all out with their doors!!

Now back to writing a paper

I am better today! A friend asked if I could help her plan a WDW trip for 2013...yeah! Maybe a referral to my sis from the Dis Dani.....

LOVE the magnets! HRH said if she can't go CL she doesn't want GF sounds like our Princesses think alike...2 weeks! Today I need to plan DHs bday...which is tomorrow, and I have a phone interview for a new job. Today is a brighter day

He had gotten accustomed to surgery being involved. I worry so much about him as he still works outdoors. My DH has had so many SC surgeries already and I have had MOHS. A day at the beach just doesn't hold the same appeal anymore.

A quick hello from St. Pete, FL! Lots of rain here this week, but so far we haven't melted from the rain...and it has been keeping temps reasonable in the high 80's and low 90's. Haven't really gotten a good sense of a particular area, but will likely need one more trip.

At least one more trip...are you near Magic????

Nice little trip report!! A friend of ours is always trying to persuade us to try Myrtle Beach, and I admit it does sound amazing!! We could drive there too...hmmmm..someday! Glad you are feeling better. $69 / night at POP? Jeez we could get two rooms there and still pay less than half of what we are paying at the Poly!!! That's ok....10th anniversary is worth it

I am putting budget first....there is something wrong with me....I was trying to tell HRH all the stuff at GF we could buy with savings not doing CL. She said I want it there waiting for me...in the snack room. That girl

Pas: I'm so happy to hear that y'all had such a nice trip! Even if y'all did get sick. The only Universal hotel we've ever stayed at is HRH. We loved it! I may have to try some of the others one day. I'm thinking about starting at Universal for a couple of days & then moving to WDW for our 2014 trip.

On another note, my sister had her c-section today at 12:30!!! I haven't heard from my mom yet, but can't wait to post details!!!

Welcome! Bonnet Creek is on property even though officially "offsite" we passed it when we were there. I love WDW properties...BUT budget wise, I would take the BC 2 BR over a AKV Studio...ugh maybe not...double ugh I am not helping...maybe if FD or RO for the cabins or ASmusic suite We have a year, we will totally figure it out

And thinking of changing...even BEFORE booking counts! You are an RCer!

Everything you say makes perfect sense for your family and I think it's great you're willing to accommodate everyone's likes and dislikes, which are probably ever-evolving. I want to hear all about your past and future family vacations, no matter where there are

DH and I were just discussing how our children don't realize how blessed they are. Mine take for granted that we will go to WDW every year...Faith thinks that we have to stay at specific resorts to have fun which by the way must change! Hopefully one day they will appreciate it!

We have kind of the same thing going on over here...our DD's are always super excited to go to Disney, but they will say stuff like "Next time, I wanna do this..." (always in their heads being a next time...) When they get mad or bratty about stuff (like me not downloading apps to their Ipods ) I always freak out on them, and pull the Disney card!!! I'm like..."How many of your friends get to go to Disney every year!!!" Honestly, I really do hope when they are older that they will see how lucky they are. We literally give those kids the World. Hope they appreciate it.

This new job is an opportunity that came about while I was away. A friend recommended me. It's for a transport nurse. Basically I ride with a patient in an ambulance from hospital A to hospital B. Great $$$, great working conditions...referred from a very reliable fella who is happy there...fingers crossed

And I did call CRO to check RPC...score!!!!!!

HRH & I will be at RPC on her birthday! The kids don't realize how good they have it...but she struggles so hard and it's her happy place (mine too) and we've wanted to check out the main "castle" building...so excited


I really need to work on hubsters birthday now

pas, just read your mini TR, sounds like you and the fam had a fantastic trip!! Aren't the Loews hotels wonderful?! And the Unlimited Express Pass is awesome, love, love, love it! Not to mention being able to walk up to almost any restaurant - not needing to book b'fast, lunch and dinner months in advance is...well, wonderful and a little disconcerting after so many years at the World.

Sorry you couldn't get CL at RPR. We've tried all three US hotels now, and HRH is our favorite. PBH had the most beautiful decor, but the vibe at HRH is more us - the pool rocks!

I hope you are all well and are recovering from the drive home.

Grumpy Grandma, so happy to hear that your DH's cancer procedure went well. It's a horrible disease but we have come so far. I wasn't aware your DGS was doing the CP at Disney. Fingers crossed that he gets an extension. AND I must say you are a wonderful Grandma to commit to making the sacrifice of going to WDW to see him , the hardships we endure

Chimo2u, interesting about your BFF and no tipping. Everyone does things differently.

Magic, I was also sorry to hear about your DH's problems with SC. I dont' know too much about SC, what is MOHS? The new chemo I am on means absolutely no sun for me. Sometimes we forget how much sun we get in our daily lives, forget sitting in the sun at the pool or beach.

Minnie & Nana, hope you are having fun in St. Pete! Sorry about the rain, but if it helps keep the temps down, that's a good thing!

Dani, have fun at the shore! Are you on LBI? Enjoy the time with the kids. Nothing better than vacation

hstrickland, yay for 14 days! You must be so excited! These next couple of weeks will go quickly , all of a sudden there always seems to be so much to do before you go!

Pas, great TR! Sounds like a great vacation until you girls got sick Glad to hear you are finally feeling better! Now then, no more talk of giving up your RC crown. No rule that resort changing has to be at WDW...I think anything in the area counts! So excited that you and HRH got the RPC for your trip in September I presume she knows all about the trip now? AND GOOD LUCK, with the phone interview! I think that sounds like a great job for you. Keep us posted.
